Numbers game thought regarding the NFL. On fourth down, when trying to pull the other team offsides,

don't ever use the timeout. Take the 5 yard game delay penalty. It doesn't add that much to a punt (often times having more space helps) and 5 yards on a field goal shouldn't make or break the field goal attempt. Keeping the extra time out in your back pocket is always more beneficial than the small bit of field positioning.

I wouldn't take the five yards on a field goal.  If you miss it, you look like a jackass.
