Bowman - To sign or not to sign?

With Bowman's release, should he be a potential target for the Patriots who sport an injury prone stud, an average at best KVN, and then a bevy of back up quality at best guys at LB? Reportedly he will have a new team by Monday.

Not sure how much he has left and it would take him some time to fit in. I'd pass

Depends - if he can replace Harris for not much money, then yes. If he's looking for a multi-year deal, not worth it. The Raiders need help at LB, and it would mean barely having to move, so I'd be surprised if he went anywhere else.

I think at this point, considering his contribution, anyone could replace Harris. I'd kick the tires on Bowman for the right price though.

This pretty much. The fact he wasn't good enough for the 49ers of all teams isn't a good sign.

49ers fans are saying he’s lost his steps, can’t cover, and no longer has his lateral agility. Says he’s mostly a 2 down thumper, which he disagrees with, and is one of the reasons why he wasn’t happy there. 

That particular skill set isn’t exactly something new to this defense, but if he can be had for an easy price, I’d be interested. Despite players/coaches’ high opinion of Harris (good team leader, second coach), i’d have to think Bowman brings more to the table and could replace Harris. His transition would take a little getting used to.
