Pace  doesn't handle the cap particularly well, and that prevents him from being as strategic as he probably should be. We'll have to see how much the defense drops off...but the offense should improve.

If they can run block better than last year then the offense should absolutely improve. Keeping the defense honest would be huge in helping our OTs vs EDGE rushers. Keeping the clock running will help our defense too.

We're gonna win Tebow style baby!!!

The line became far more fundamentally sound down the stretch last season. Leno and Massie are gone, which is huge, and Cohen is on IR--so Nagy has no way to put him out there for inside zone runs. The backs behind Montgomery are better than they were last year, too. So whenever he needs a breather, there won't be a huge drop-off.

Mustipher didn't have the best pre-season, so that's a concern. The other big concern is whether the Bears will actually even try to run the ball--beyond that being just a distraction for the opposing defense. Because Nagy is calling the plays again...

Until more recently he and Laine have handled the cap well but his somewhat aggressive spending on his "Cap Credit Card" was dependent on a consistently increasing cap in the same way anyone of us might base our own credit debt on an ever increasing salary.  There is no way either can easily deal with a 10% reduction instead of a 10% increase.

When that happens what do we do?  We end up selling something to pay the bills that are due which if effect is what he did when he released Fuller and Leno so he could pay for groceries.....er, Dalton. He's much like groceries.  Gotta have them to eat and ya' need a QB to play football.  Pace painted himself into another corner via 4 previous deals.

Foles, Quinn, Trevathan and Graham and although he could have let loose of Graham at some point he chose not to.
