RSkinGM
Who knew- I hadn't heard this . Great reputation as a coach. Hate to lose him .
e16bball
This is a major loss. Along with John Matsko, Pete Hoener is one of the few imports from Carolina that I’ve been impressed with. His work turning Logan Thomas into a real live TE — which followed directly on the heels of his work turning Greg Olsen into a HOF TE — was among the most impressive coaching jobs I’ve watched unfold. Enjoy retirement, Pete! Hope Castillo can fill his shoes, as he’s got quite a project on his hands in Sammis Reyes.
e16bball
Beat me to the punch by a split second! 😂 Definitely big news. Juan Castillo was the long-time OL coach for the Andy Reid era Eagles, but his career has really fallen down a peg or two ever since they rather unwisely tried to install him as the DC there. RSkinGM
So we're hiring an O-line coach to coach T Es . How does that work ? Has he coached TEs before I wonder ? UPDATE : From what I can find he coached TEs in 1997 for theEaglets . Another buddy of the coach - whatever. naptownskinsfan
Thats a blow. Horner was one of the few coaches who did his job well and developed talent. As for Castillo, he coached with Rivera in Philadelphia. Can’t say I am excited. His coaching star has fallen over the past five years.
