Just Want A Title
Apparently, Drake London will not be running a 40 at his Pro Day. He will be running routes though. He already delayed his Pro Day because of a hamstring injuring. He has some great film but is also coming off of an ankle fracture. Given the number of quality WRs in this draft, could this cause him to slide further down the draft than folks are projecting now. Could he fall to the top of the 2d round? Thoughts? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/15/drake-london-wont-run-40-at-uscs-pro-day/ Edited April 15, 2022 by Just Want A Title Forgot something
Sllim Pickens
Its not a red flag, unless there is more significant damage in the ankle or its not healing right. But to be able to run at all at this point is positive and I am sure his 40 time would be slow coming back from the injury so not running probably hurts him less.
Louis Friend
Not a red flag. He's still running so people can see how the ankle and hamstring are doing. Why would he run the 40 when 1. 40 times are trash and 2. It wouldn't be an accurate gauge of his speed since he is coming off an injury? All I know, is I'm intrigued by the Lions being at his pro day. I'm thinking they might believe they have trade down opportunity somewhere because they are doing alot of work on early to mid first round guys. Just Want A Title
USC WR London doesn’t run at private pro day … In the end, pro teams will have to go to the 2022 draft without knowing just how fast the highest rated receiver actually runs. Southern California WR Drake London was expected to finally work out for pro scouts at a private pro day work out today in LA, but he only ran routes and did not run the 40. London was having an incredible year with the Trojans, but fractured a foot in the 8th week of the campaign and ultimately missed the rest of the season as well as the combine and USC’s regular pro day. He did have a private pro day scheduled for earlier this month but had to back off because of a tweaked hamstring. London is a big receiver at 6-4, 213 with 34-inch arms who had 88 receptions for over 1,000 yards in the 7-plus games he did play last fall, but there are questions about his long speed which it now appears will not be answered before the draft. For the record, there were just over a half dozen teams with reps at London’s work out today including Detroit, Houston, the NY Jets, Washington, Tennessee, Arizona and the LA Chargers. jrry32
I'm not concerned. He's not a speedster.
