Forge Posted May 6, 2023 Share Posted May 6, 2023 Graves has made some pretty big gaffes this post season. He may have that Severson issue where he's being played higher than he should be. We are using he and Marino in shut down roles and I'm not sure that is something Graves is fully equipped for. Maybe in short bursts. Maybe in short bursts. That's exactly what it is. He's a very solid LHD but when asked to play above his head, his weaknesses get exposed, much like Severson. There's a reason Severson has been an analytical darling this year and it's because we've been deploying him as a 3rd pairing guy all year.
