Hello friends. I've been really missing hockey already and I had a pretty cool idea.

In order to get to know the players from other teams better, I am going to make a big list of players and watch their highlights on YouTube. If you have any recommendations other than the list I have created, please let me know. They're mostly point scorers, so good defensemen and prospects would be appreciated. Lets start with the East

Boston Bruins

Pasta

Marchand-just got done watching Brad Marchand. I like s*** starters, but dude is a dirty MF’er. I love the passion though. He plays hard. Attacks and attacks, that I can appreciate.

Bergeron

McAvoy

Buffalo Sabres

T Thompson

R Dahlin- watched him yesterday, wow was I impressed. What a talented dude. Real fun to watch.

J Skinner

A Tuch

O Power

C Mittelstadt

Detroit Red Wings

D Larkin- plays really hard. Seems like a great captain to play for. Quick, good facilitator , like how he plays in front of the net

L Raymond

M Seider

Florida Panthers

Tkachuk

Barkov

Verhaege

Montour

Reinhart

Montreal Canadians

N Suzuki

C Caulfield

Ottawa Senators

T Stutzle

B Tkachuk

C Giroux

A Debrincat

D Batherson

J Sanderson

B Hagel- seems like the beneficiary of great players around him. Good clean up / fast break guy

M Sergachev

V Hedman

Toronto Maple Leafs

A Matthews

M Marner

W Nylander

J Tavares

Carolina Hurricanes

S Aho

M Necas- smart player who attacks the net. I was real impressed he Carolina generally works together. I think this kid is going to be real good.

B Burns

A Svenchnikov

Columbus Blue Jackets

J Gaudreau

P Laine- sick shot. Absolutely lethal . Hopefully Holtz can be something like him. I also like his stick handling . He like does it in slow motion but has a ton of control

B Jenner

K Johnson

New York Islanders

 M Barzal

B Nelson

New York Rangers

Nah

Philadelphia Flyers

T Konecny

Pittsburgh Penguins

Cool idea. I do have some you should take a look at, but a full list would probably have to wait until I'm at my laptop so I can really think about it.

Bo Horvat on the isles would be one.

Nick Backstroms best years are behind him, but would be a fun watch

Taylor Hall is another one who isn't as good any more but has some fun highlights. Or just watch his MVP season with the devils. Tragic that his shot disappeared after this year.

Connor Bedard - Blackhawks (cheating but he's a Blackhawk)
Xavier Bourgault (sleeper: Matvei Petrov) - Oilers
Brendan Brisson - Golden Knights
Brandt Clarke - Kings (yes, he's Graeme's brother)
Logan Cooley - Coyotes
Matt Coronato - Flames
Simon Edvinsson - Red Wings
Cutter Gauthier - Flyers
Luke Evangelista - Predators
Ridly Greig - Senators
Isaac Howard - Lightning
Lane Hutson - Canadiens
Matthew Knies - Maple Leafs
Brad Lambert/Chaz Lucius - Jets (can't decide which to go with)
Jonathan Lekkerimäki - Canucks (maybe Aatu Raty but I'm not sure whether his upside is higher than JL's)
Fabian Lysell - Bruins
Pavel Mintyukov - Ducks
Ivan Miroschnichenko - Capitals
Shakir Mukhamadullin - Sharks (cheating lol but if you want to go another route, pick one of Filip Bystedt or Thomas Bordeleau)
Alexander Nikishin - Hurricanes
Oskar Olausson - Avalanche
Brennan Othmann - Rangers
Owen Pickering - Penguins (not a great prospect, it's a bad system after selling out for years)
Marco Rossi - Wild
Mackie Samoskevich - Panthers
Matthew Savoie - Sabres
Jimmy Snuggerud - Blues
Logan Stankoven - Stars
Stanislav Svozil - Blue Jackets
Shane Wright - Kraken (for obvious reasons, that system isn't great yet)

Note: Islanders have no substantial prospects to go check out. It's sad how he just repeated what he did to our system to them.

I do like the idea of Sharangovich for one of the Blackhawk's 4 second rounders.

I'm curious to see what we are looking for. Because I could see us move him to someone like Nashville for a bottom pair rhd and a pick (like Foote and a 4th?) or to Winnipeg for someone like demelo as a rental

Yeah I don't know but a 2nd rounder is a nice return. Don't think I'd want a rental but DeMelo is a good player. Not sure we'd want someone like Foote to fill that role since he's just as unproven as Bahl/Nemec. Wonder if a Kulikov reunion could be in order? I know he's a LHD but he plays both sides.

Fitz indicated we could try to re-sign blackwood at a deal less than his qualifying offer

Think it's gamesmanship in trade negotiations with other teams that are like "well you're not going to qualify him so we'll just wait two weeks til UFA rather than meet your price." Fitzy's not an idiot. I think Fitzy would rather sign someone like Alex Lyon, David Rittich or Anthony Stolarz than deal with Blackwood again lol.
