He was big on @beekay414 and my draft radar when he was 18. It was a stacked D class. I loved Sandin too. We were so excited when he fell to the devils. Then he came in and absolutely lit up camp. We thought there was a chance that he was going to make the roster in his D + 1 year. We sent him back, he won CHL defenseman of the year. The sky was so high. He came in the next year and he was a bit of a trainwreck in camp, went back to the CHL again, had a meh, somewhat underwhelming season. But then he came back strong the following year in camp ,put up points (nearly .5 ppg as a 20 year old rookie D is solid) and I thought he was at least going to be a solid PP specialist. I didn’t know what I was watching , but I knew that’s probably not what is supposed to be done. speaking of lighting up camp , Simon Nemec.
