Week 4 - Experimental Confidence Game

With Pick'em in full swing, I wanted to experiment with a confidence game. I'm not necessarily going to do this for the whole season, but let's see how it goes.

The way the game works is each week I will pose a number of questions. With each question will be a list of numbers. Type a name next to each number based on what you believe. Each blank gives you a chance to be correct for the question, BUT your points for being correct is equal to the number of your correct response! Therefore, make sure you put your most confident answer at the top! In the event the question has two correct answers, you will receive the highest point total of your responses for that question.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

For example, consider the following question:

Week 4 Broncos vs Bears:

A) Who will score Chicago's first touchdown? (Defense/Special Teams is a singular option, Fields can be selected as a runner)

4. 3. 2. 1.

For this question, you give four responses, one next to each of the numbers. Let's say you respond like this:

A) Who will score Chicago's first touchdown? (Defense/Special Teams is a singular option, Fields can be selected as a runner)

4. DJ Moore 3. Cole Kmet 2. Justin Fields 1. Velus Jones Jr.

The football game is played and the actual result is that Chicago's first touchdown was scored by Justin Fields rushing. For this, you earn 2 points.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I think 4-6 questions should be pretty good. My goal is that this is something that will be easy to participate in that will not require a lot of time to participate in. I also plan to limit it to the Bears so that knowledge of other NFL teams is not required, in an effort to encourage greater participation. The goal here is that players will generally get most of the questions "correct", and the scores will differ based on each person's confidence in their answers. Let's have some fun!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

WEEK FOUR - BRONCOS VS BEARS

A) Who will score Chicago's first touchdown? (Defense/Special Teams is a singular option, Fields can be selected as a runner only)

5. 4. 3. 2. 1.

B) Who will record the longest reception of the day for the Bears?

4. 3. 2. 1.

C) Who will lead the Bears in targets?

3. 2. 1.

D) Who will record the longest rush of the day for the Bears?

2. 1.

E) Who will record the most total tackles for the Bears?

1.

Maximum points possible: 15

Obviously submissions must be in by gametime of week four.

Looking forward to seeing how this goes!

It's technically week four for all but four teams, here's a bump to the top.

But I would also understand the decision to not further exert any mental energy on this year's team and thus not play this game

It's weird, I usually love this kind of thing but I took a look at it, audibly groaned, and couldn't even get past question 1.

Haha I do respect that you think we might score 20, but in the OP all I'm saying is if you get all of your first guesses correct you can max out at 15 points for the week for this forum game

I know, I was trying to con my way into extra points.

In no way do I expect the bears themselves to score 20
