I am interested in Travis Hunter as either a WR or a CB.  Likely will be picked ahead of where I hope to be picking but love his versatility and athleticism.

I don't want anything to do with Deion and his boys. Not the right mentality for this roster

I don't want his kids but I will gladly take Hunter.  Someone sacrificing to play both sides and doing both at a high level is pretty special.  Deion is eccentric, but he teaches hard work and character whether you like him or not.  We got James Houston from him and I think that worked out ok.

I call Hunter one of his kids. Might as well be

Just rewatched Landon Jackson tape (along with OSU's JT and Sawyer). The dude is massive with huge arms, he explodes off the ball, really good lateral quickness coming down the line. If he can be productive this year, I just have a hard time not seeing a 1st round player in there. I think he'd be perfect as that 5T.

Sawyer feels slower and some early 2025 mocks have him in Rd 1. I feel like he's a Rd 2-3 guy. JT is probably Rd 1-2

I have been watching Deone Walker since he started playing at Kentucky.  There is no way someone that big should move as well as he moves despite the fact that he is still developing.  He is pretty good against the run and notched 7.5 sacks in 2023 which is surprising for someone his size.  He also seems to play with a nasty demeanor and happens to be from Detroit.  If he continues to improve his hand usage and leverage, he is going to high on the board for a lot of teams.  I could see the Lions going after him.  DJ Reader is on a 2-year deal.  There is no guarantee that we will be able to sign Alim McNeil to an extension.

I suspect Brodric Martin will take a significant step forward with Terrell Williams our D-Line coach.  Pairing Deone Walker with Brodric Martin would wreck just about any running game plans and most cause major problems in the passing game.  If the Lions managed to get him it would be an absolute steal.

Deone Walker is listed at 6'6" and 348 Lbs.  it has been reported that he has 33" arm length and 11" hands.  I don't think I have ever seen someone this big who is so active and disruptive in both the passing game as well as the running game.  His motor seems to run pretty high.  Holy cow.

I missed this thread and posted some relevant stuff elsewhere. I'll bring it in here to keep the conversation contained to one section.

I have other comments that can stay in that other thread directly related to our Leo's.

At the moment, CJ Daniels is a very intriguing prospect. Transfer from Liberty to LSU. Good size for what I (and I believe the Lions look for) as an X-WR.

I don't know much in terms of his character or run blocking. Watching his highlights (albeit a lower level of competition) he is an exciting player to watch.

Elijah Roberts is intriguing even if an older player. Liking everything about him so far as rusher

He is probably a 2nd rounder that could turn into something more during the process.
