He's shown the potential to be a player, but i thought he'd find a spot where he can play more of a 3-4 rush LBer role. That seems like his best bet for success. Even out wider like that with a "go get the QB" assignment, it's not quite the same look as a true stand-up rusher. Just seems weird, in that he didn't seem to find the greatest groove in a pretty similar defense with the Chargers. Coming out of the draft, i thought he was a really intriguing LEO prospect for the Jags, really liked him. At worst, in that sort of Bruce Irvin LEO/SAM split role sort of thing. Hasn't seemed to work out all that great for him though. Just would've thought he'd want to find a fit where he can try the whole stand up thing again.
