I've been on this ride before saying things just like you did. You reminded me then. Throw out those plays and just focus on that which the HC controls and evaluate him on those things. Limited sample size of course, but based on that methodology Freddie has been struggling a bit to say the least. Is it fatal? Only time will tell.

No way that is 100% on Hilliard. That's not an accurate ball. It's on Hilliard of course and mostly, but that's not a good ball.

Injury notwithstanding, Baker's been off on ball placement all year. Would love for Hilliard to catch that; Callaway to catch that one, but those aren't accurate balls. Hilliard's a RB so that's a tough catch, but he's paid millions to do so. The callaway one at his knees behind him was far tougher and worse ball placement despite the popular narrative being that it was primarily on Callaway. WRs though are expected to make those more circus catches and contort their body to do whatever it takes.

If Baker is hurt badly the training staff and doctors need to declare him out to save him from himself...

It has nothing to do with boxscore stats... I don't care about those at all, but Olivier Vernon has not been disruptive in the passing game and is not stout as a run stuff artist in the run game. He's been a non-factor this season and looks like he doesn't have the juice in his game he had earlier in his career.

With Baker injured/hobbled let's see if Freddie can adjust to protect him while we try to get back on top...

This feels like it's going to be a "spread em and forget em" game..

I get the whole take the ball first attitude stuff, but over the course of a season numbers-wise it makes zero sense not to defer and potentially get that momentum possession and potentially as the analytics suggest an extra possession over the course of a game.
