Managing the clock was the least of Denver’s worries this half, to be honest.

When your offense throws for 18 yards....that’s easily the number 1 concern.

No argument on what the #1 problem was.  But good clock management is what coaches should be doing.   That was....awful clock management, specifically with the TO's used when ball was at the 1 yard line.  There's 1:20 left.   It occurred to them they needed to save clock only when the play was over.  I mean, sure, address the pass game...but good clock management shouldn't be hard to do.

Uh-oh, DT hurting.  Really took the punishment trying to get that first.

HUGE penalty to give us the first.  Gotta put 7 on the board now.

It was meaningless, though.  100% of people would’ve done it 75% different.  It’s a nit pick and opinion.  VJ may not be a good coach, but that isn’t an example of it.

Thing is, VJ thought enough to call TO after 1st down was stuffed.   That says he was thinking about it - but only occurred to think about it then.  It's one thing if they were just going to let the clock burn down.    If he's thinking about it, then do it right away.   That's what the best coaches do.   He's not one of them.  Not a shocker, but still disappointing.

Either way, though, we've got bigger things to worry about, agreed there.  Game on.   Really need to get a quick stop so we can get the ball back.  Wearing out the OAK D is our best shot to overcome Keenum's struggles this game.
