pf9
The NFL has been at 8 divisions since 2002, and most of the players who were in the league in 2001, the last season with 6 divisions, are no longer playing. Only five players remain from that 2001 season: QBs Tom Brady and Drew Brees, and PKs Phil Dawson, Sebastian Janikowski, and Adam Vinatieri. These players collectively represent a link to an era that is long gone. And we don't know how much longer they have until they each call it a career.
