Jack Del Rio has come out and said/confirmed he was defending his sister, which will probably get him out of it in the court's eyes(assuming it's true obviously), or at least just a slap on the wrist.

But can we still part ways with him?  please?

It's easy to feel that way until you see someone actually abusing someone you love, and it's also probably dependent upon what the guy was doing to his sister. If it turns out he was beating her, etc, no judge is going to blame Smith for what he did. The league on the other hand, who knows.

Both logically and legally it is not right to stomp on someone's head when they're down, but in a rage that overcomes you when defending someone you love, you quickly lose logic and any thoughts of legal repercussions.

But that is kind of the point i think. Just because you lose sight of those things doesn't mean their aren't consequences for your unlawful action while in that state. The timeline also will have alot to do with this as well. If he actually witnessed and or intervened in the alleged abuse of his sister he has a much better leg to stand on when taking your arguement into account. But if he showed up later and decided to met out so "street justice" then it makes the waters much more cloudy in detrimining whether a crime was commited. The state already believes Sean was in the wrong because they filed charges.

It being morally and emotionally understandable does not change the legality.

And anyway, I'd say you're assuming quite a bit in saying no judge would blame him for what he did. A face stomp is kind of pushing past protective instinct, and pushing towards retaliation.

Gotta eat that dead money and live with the fact the secondary is still pretty bad overall. Carrie got worked last week. Nelson keeps showing his age, and Joseph doesn't bring much to the pass. It may be on Conley & Obi once they're cleared.
