Week 1 Opponent: Los Angeles Rams, Renegades win
Week 2 Opponent: Detroit Lions I'm giving the Renegades a narrow win
Week 3 Opponent: Carolina Panthers, Renegades win
Week 4 Opponent: New York Giants I'm giving the Renegades a sloopy win with Daniel Jones being the opponent and terrible this week
Week 5: BYE
Week 6 Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals, Renegades win
Week 7 Opponent: Arizona Cardinals, Renegades win
Week 8 Opponent: Cleveland Browns, Browns win
Week 9 Opponent: Baltimore Ravens, Ravens win

Week 17 Opponent: Pittsburgh Steelers, Steelers win
Week 18 Opponent: Arizona Cardinals

12-5 or 11-6 finish pending ARI game

5-0 start wanted to double check that my team is actually playing well. PFF has us at the following:

QB4, QB23
RB38
WR24, WR27, TE59
T1, [also Dalton Risner], C17, C34, G47 ,T15

ED1, IDL9, IDL43, ED9
ED/LB30, LB17, S/LB17
CB2, CB26
S8, S11
7 top 10 PFF players at their position including the most important positions of QB, ED, ED LT makes me think that combined with weak opponents makes it feel correct.

AJ Epenesa, Alim McNeill, Zach Allen/Travis Jones, Nick Bosa
Shaq Barrett/Nolan Smith (Rush LB), JOK (ILB), Kyle Hamilton (OLB/S)
Trent McDuffie, Jeff Okudah
Deshon Elliott, Reed Blankenship

is a nuts defense at the moment and offensively Tua with the third highest graded tackle pair (other than PHI and MIN [who has my LT]) is going to win games. Unless we collapse or face some terrible injuries I think we're on track to be a high seed playoff team this year.

Failed WAIVER Claim: Michael Carter, RB NY Jets (Cardinals claimed him)

Renegades Season Recap
12-5 or 11-6, pending Cardinals game week 18, finishing in the NFC somewhere near Lions and Cowboys, but not a division winner after finishing second in the West to the 49ers. I am not sure if we made it out of the wildcard round, still going to evaluate.

International Player Pathway Program
The Renegades are interested in Louis Rees-Zammit after having Sammis Reyes as a part of the team through the same program previously.

With those numbers I reflect back up to the Renegades season record and have 12-5 which is 2nd in the NFC West. 12-5 is the top non-division winner of the NFC (irl Eagles) and I take their place as opponents of the #4 seeded Buccaneers.

EDGE: I have their edge rusher, and Bosa so this is a blow out in my favor. I actually thought this was a good match up so far until this point and this is such a blow out I'm advancing.

With that win we need to recalculate who we play, and I run into the issue of how does this bracket work with the extra NFC team in the playoffs. IE does our making it bump out the lowest seed? The lowest seed was the Packers so it would be Rams v. Cowboys | Eagles v. Lions | Renegades v. Buccs. I feel like this is the best way to do it, so now I have to figure out who wins on the make up games and I'm going Cowboys + Lions as Cowboys higher seed than Rams and Eagles lost in WC while Lions advanced. So with the advancing teams being SF1, DAL2, DET3, OAK5 we would play SF in the Divisional round, where Dallas loses to Detroit.

QB: Brock Purdy (QB6 || MDN 85) v. Tua Tagovailoa (QB7 || MDN 88)
RB: Christian McCaffrey (RB2 || MDN 98) v. Javonte Williams (RB51 || MDN 80)
WR: Brandon Aiyuk (WR2 || MDN 90) v. DeAndre Hopkins (WR18 || MDN 89)
WR: Deebo Samuel (WR13 || MDN 88) v. Amari Cooper (WR20 || MDN 90) [*Deebo gets hurt in the game plays 9 snaps]
TE: George Kittle (TE1 || MDN 97) v. Darnell Washington (TE67 || MDN 71)
LT: Trent Williams (T2 || MDN 98) v. Christian Darrisaw (T7 || MDN 90)

DT: Arik Armstead (DT18 || MDN 83) v. Zach Allen (DT28 || MDN 77) / Travis Jones (DT38 || MDN 73)
DE: Randy Gregory (DE107 || MDN 74) v. Nick Bosa (DE2 || MDN 98)
MLB: Fred Warner (LB1 || MDN 96) v. Mack Wilson (LB8 [ignoring snap minimums] || MDN 73)

CB: Deommodore Lenoir (CB29 || MDN 82)  v. Kyler Gordon (CB58 || MDN 79)
S: Ji'Ayir Brown (S34 || MDN 72) v. Reed Blankenship (S19 || MDN 78)
S: Tashaun Gibson (S24 || 80) v. Kyle Hamilton (S5 || MDN 87)

I think it's close enough that the Renegades have a shot, but the 49ers are favored. I have the Renegades as better than the packers, personally, and the GB SF game ended 21 - 24. I guess do we have answers to the 49ers obvious weapons. JOK had one of his best games against the 49ers help carrying a Browns beat the 49ers with basically no QB, and CMC had one of his worst games that week. Kyle Hamilton can match up better than most (any?) safety on Kittle. McDuffie should be good for Aiyuk and Deebo only played 9 snaps. Their OL is what we can exploit and Alim just played them and got a sack. We have Bosa (so they don't [we drafted him earlier as we draft anyone earlier than irl]) who should work over McKivitz. It was raining. Not sure how this plays out so I am doing a 40% Renegades 60% 49ers random generator and the 49ers got it. I was leaning towards 49ers win (so I gave them 60% chance), with Renegades at least beating the Buccaneers to improve upon last years result so our staff retains. Like last year when we finished as the Seahawks did, we finish this year as the Packers did so we adopt their draft position and enter the NFC North next year.

Roster Moves

Releasing La'el Collins.
Currently projecting/budgeting Tua for a 5y/265m extension (10mil less than Burrow, 3mil more than Herbert) [currently rolling with 63171000 cap hit in 2024, then 45mil in '25 through '29, which would give me ~20-23mil  to resign the below players, or comparable FA from other teams, I can restructure some of that around to eat more or less space up as needed]. I'm going to "sign" Tua to this deal if the Dolphins fail to extend him in time for me to start making moves, and if he signs for less I'll trim a bit off a later year(s), and if he gets more I can add to match like I added that extra year to my fake Bosa contract to give him same number of years as I gave him.

EDIT: We are extending Christian Darrisaw to the deal Penei Sewell got just now +4 years average of 28mil per year in new money. 2024: 4365306 2025: 25387000 2026-2029: 25mil

Draft Diary:
Entry 1: We're irl at ~pick 20 and Oakland is up at 25 so I'm getting prepared for a few scenarios. Graham Barton, Quinyon Mitchell, Terrion Arnold, Troy Fautanu are who I am really hoping for not neccessarily in that order. Hopefully some more picks come off the board and I guarantee one of the four. Cooper DeJean and would probably be my 5th. Hopefully no full 5 sniping right here lol.

Entry 2: Pick 21 is in and Troy is gone.

Entry 3: Pick 22 is Chop who we weren't targeting so the BB will work. We'll put in order when OTC with availables.

Entry 4: Dallas has moved down right before us. We are down to Graham Barton and Terrion Arnold, and I would have expected Barton to Dallas, but with Detroit I think they take Terrion. I'm preparing to select Duke LT Graham Barton to play LG for the Oakland Renegades.

Entry 5: Day two is going fast and lots of talented prospects coming off the board. I'm 12 picks from OTC at the moment, and letting the board thin a bit. I monitored trade ups but the cost this year has been high and I'm more than satisfied to be in our position right now.

Entry 6: I think we are three picks out at the time. I'm considering with Troy Franklin because I love his releases, his speed, his effort in run blocking, but I dislike his drop rate, and thin frame. Alternatively, I like Ennis Rakestraw who I took in the first for the TCMD draft as the Ravens.

Entry 7: We're ~10 picks out from being OTC again and I'll take Payton Wilson if available. I'm wondering if injury pushes him to ~~127's range though.

Entry 8: Payton Wilson will be our pick at 88, hopefully the health works out.

Entry 9: With day 2 complete I'm going to evaluate and see what Day 3 paths the Renegades will take and this year I think we will sign a bunch of UDFA, some for the 53 but also in a reload for the PS.

Entry 10: The Steelers are getting my top target Mason McCormick at 119, where we were 126. I liked him as a reserve for the three interior spots.

Entry 11: We accept the Lions future 3rd round pick for 126. Excited to get more draft capital for next year, want picks this year but I wanted McCormick at this spot and most of my targets are later. I might accept more trade downs with my 5ths if available, but I'd be looking for 2024 picks from here on out.

Entry 12: Double sniped by the Eagles 😢

Entry 13: Dolphins snipe me with my Shaq Barrett back up with Mohamed Kamara. Probably exact same role with Dolphins lol. I'm going two C(/K)hristians for the right side of my line to be back ups Jones and Boyd.

Entry 14: Another Christian, with Mahogany for rebuilding our OL depth.

Entry 15: I keep going back trying to figure out why I don't have a 7th round pick and I can't find out what happened. Maybe I just wrote down the order and then accidentally didn't copy paste the 7th to the forum. I am adding 7.245 to the Renegades draft pool (the Packers natural 7th, as I've been at the Packers spot this entire draft)

Entry 16: Since I have the extra pick now, I'm selecting our kicker with it I think.

Entry 17: Maybe not.

Entry 18: Getting close to the final pick, and I'd go with Dallas Gant from Toledo if available.

I really like Graham Barton. Good skill. Tough and mean. True 5-position lineman but a team needs to pick one and leave him there. Dallas should have stayed at 24 and picked him, but panicked. You were not going to lose with Barton or Arnold. The draft fell well for you.

He's been my first round pick I mocked to myself the most. I was happy to resign Dalton Risner, but it's frustrating really liking offensive line and not having multi-year contracts to keep them together and build depth. This gives me five years of team control, and I extended Darrisaw with what Penei Sewell got. So the Renegades offensive line starters are LT (2021 first) Christian Darrisaw (through 2029), (2024 1st) Graham Barton (through 2028), (2023 2nd) John Michael Schmidt (through 2026), (2022 FA) James Daniels (through 2024), and (2022 4th) Zach Tom (through 2025). I still need to address depth across the line, but I am very happy with my starting five. I had starting left guard, and Graham Barton to fill it, as reasonably available BPA and top team need. The prospect I would have targeted over him that I listed was Quinyon Mitchell who I had as a top 10 prospect in this draft class. I thought Terrion Arnold would do exceptional for Aaron Glenn, my HC and Lion's DC, and I would have been happy with him if Dallas had stayed put and sniped Barton from me -- so cool to see Detroit still gets that pairing. I am curious where Tampa plans on placing Barton if it's at LG or C, but he's a LG for me with JMS at center.
