bucsfan333
I wonder if we'll go back and forth for a while until somebody emerges as the bonafide backup.

bucsfan333
Clarke played with Hayes in Cincy. So there's some familiarity.
bucsfan333
And there it is. Wonder what number he's gonna wear. 93 is obviously taken. He wore 98 at WVU but McDonald's got that one too.

Probably. The practice squad minimum weekly salary is $7200/wk. I believe the minimum salary for a 2nd year player is close to $350,000. Ouch. ravishingone
So the Bucs wanted to sign McNichols to practice squad. Told him on cut down and McNichols said he felt Tampa was the place. He comes in Sunday and tells them he is going to SF.

That should be more than enough time for Ward to get a good grasp on the playbook. I don't expect him to start. But, like you said, I'd expect a heavy rotation with him in the game. I still expect mostly special teams from Evans. We don't really need him yet, since both Tandy and Conte can play centerfield and deep. That should leave Ward around the LOS every snap. indifference
Really not expecting much from Evans this year. Rookie safeties hardly make a huge impact so I'm fine with slowly working him in the rotation. That said guys like Jamal Adams and Hooker are going to have big years.
