I don't know who else has heard Harbaugh's press conferences, radio appearances, and the like, but the guy sounds weird. Very disengaged, stumbles over words and sentences but in a very subdued, slow motion manner... he sounds like someone who's on morphine. He's either mentally checked out or he's got the beginnings of CTE. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he takes a significant break or retires outright after he's done at UM which he should be after this season.

Oh you silly Michigan fans.  Yall really are just the Tennessee of the Big 10.

"Sure, our coach gets us 10 win seasons every year, which is better than the best years of our last two head coaches, but he can't beat the powerhouse team in our conference that competes for the National Championship year in and year out, so we want to fire him!"

I remember those days.

Letting Harbaugh walk would be a mistake. Next coach is gonna get destroyed by Ohio State too. They are much more dedicated to their football program, just like Michigan is more dedicated to their basketball program (although still pour a lot into football).

Although I’d love to see Harbaugh in the NFL again.

- Cleveland Browns if Kitchens is one and done

- Houston Texans (if O Brien is canned which he probably won’t be. This team seems like a perfect fit though)

- Detroit Lions (if Patricia is fired which is still possible if he goes 6-9-1)

- Jacksonville Jaguars

- Washington Redskins

Don't talk about what you don't know. If you were watching the team like we are, you would know better than to say dumb stuff.

Everyone, including Michigan fans, who says this kind of thing is really saying, OK, we root for Iowa now. Northwestern. Maryland. Our goal is to have a good season, win 9-10 games, if everything goes perfectly we could beat Ohio State and win the Big Ten one year out of 10 or so, and if we don't get it done, if we don't get it done for 15 years, we just try again next year.

Which itself is fine! If you accept that's who you are, if you're ok with being a great academic institution and your football program is just another extracurricular program like cross country or diving, then ok. Just be honest about it. Don't pretend you want to be an elite football program.

Everyone wants to be an elite program. Some are just willing to be a basement program for decades until one magical day where you hire Bill Belichick once he retires from the Pats and appoints Nick Saban as his DC.

Yall are playing yourselves.
