valkrei
hes not on the market yet but I bet he will be... LT Trent Williams. Should we go for it? It helps solidify one weak spot on the line. OL Kelechi Osemele? TJ Ward? Edited October 7, 2019 by valkrei

Eric Fisher will hopefully be back soon so we don't need to trade for Trent Williams(even tho Trent is an upgrade over Fisher). If we want to upgrade our line at the trade deadline it should be either LG or Center cause they're the biggest problem so far. Defensively, we need a Corner, an athletic linebacker and a DT that can hold up against the run. Two trades I would try if I was Veach would be for Patrick Peterson and Hassan Riddick from the Cardinals or William Jackson and Geno Aktins from the Bengals. onejayhawk
With Claiborne, I think we are fine at CB. The only thing we could use is too expensive for our budget. We have DT that can hold against the run, but they are not usually on the field. A studly LB I can agree on. J

Nandi doesn't seem to be getting a push, Chris Jones is hit and miss with the run since he seems to want to pass rush all the time, and Xavier Williams just flat out sucks. We do need a studly athletic linebacker badly tho, the Chiefs Defense hasn't been the same since Derrick Johnson.

Like last year, it's the pass package that gives up the run. Also, the defense is still in the work up phase. Some of our decision makers are hesitant. I am hoping that is the problem with Clark and I am sure it is with Hitchens. J

I don't care for PFF stats but he hasn't graded well against the run which matches my eyes from the times I seen him this year. Clark has been solid against the run, which the numbers indicate but Hitchens is just slow and hesitant. Hitchens lack sideline to sideline speed, can't disengage from blocks, take poor angles and misses tackles. His contract is bad. I definitely consider using our first on a LB in 2020 draft if there is no corner or IOL worth taking at our spot.
onejayhawk
XW is a short yardage specialist at this point. As a role player, his standard of competence is not high. There is a lot of hesitation throughout the defense. That's at least partly the system itself being new. We ask a few players to make decisions. Honey Badger is thriving at it. Hitchens is still learning. We have not yet achieved anything like good rhythm with the D.
Mizter_Clean10
So of our current players who would you not trade for defensive help? 1.)Mahomes obviously 2.)Tyreek? 3.)?
RedGold
Watkins and Robinson are the only two offensive players I would trade..... but I doubt either have much in trade value. At some point you just have to hope pride kicks in on D, Not sure any one trade is magically gonna fix this defense

Nope, I said hope. I don’t see it happening... But I’m not panicking.. This offense is locked for years... Hill , Kelce , Fisher , Schwartz , LDT are all building blocks. Add in Hardman and Pringle and you have players around them.. worst thing we can do is start sending off draft picks to try and patch this defense.. How bout we actually start using those picks to bring in players to build around on D.

I agree with not trading off picks to try and patch this defense especially since this draft is filled with some great linebackers that can go in the first round( Dylan Moses, Isisah Simmons, and more.
