Those guys are going to be top 5 draft picks. Injuries seem to be enough to derail a winning season
Xmad
I mean it's amazing Rivers can still have kids after playing so long tbh.
Xenos
All the hits and sacks are finally getting to him. Philip from even a year ago would have connected more on that last drive. But he's seeing ghosts right now. And losing Okung couldn't have come at a worst time. Of course he shares the blame as well. You don't need to go deep all the time. Sometimes it's okay to take the easy stuff especially with 3 TOs.

Schofield is on kind of a mid-tier FA contract. They've taken a guy in the second or third round at almost every OL position in the last 3 or 4 years. Lamp, Feeney, Pipkins, and Tuerk have all been 2nd or 3rd round picks. Barksdale was another mid-tier FA not that long ago that they moved on from because he was meh. They've had a moderate to high investment player at every spot on the OL recently, they just haven't panned out. If you had a healthy and performing line of Okung, Lamp, Pouncey, Schofield, and Barksdale, with Feeney, Pipkins, and Quessenberry as young, high potential backups, you'd be pretty damn pleased. But you've had a mix of injuries (Okung, Lamp, Pouncey) and underperformance (Barksdale, Schofield, Feeney.) You can maybe blame the front office for poor scouting, but it isn't a lack of trying, IMO. Thank you! I'm glad someone else realizes this. Another problem has been the coaching. Lynn isn't as bad as McCoy or Norv. But I often wonder what Rivers would do with someone like Payton, Reid, or even McVay.
resilient part 2
Yes and no. For this era is one thing but the hits he supposedly is taking is just average for most of the quarterbacks of the 90s. Just saying. He still has bacilli quarterback-friendly rules to protect him
