Ladd already tore her ACL and is out until late 2021 as it is. Then you'd have the top 2 at 135 being the last two women that Nunes defended against and beat convincingly (Holm KO and GDR got wrestled to oblivion). You gonna give Viera the shot despite being KO'd cold by Aldana? You gonna run it back with Holm or GDR rather than give Shevchenko her shot at redeeming herself after people thought she won the last fight? 135 is a mess because of the way they've been booking it. It definitely can get messy. I will say if GDR can improve her TDD at all it could get interesting. I attested to that before the fight. I said Nunes wanted no part of GDR in the standup and her route to winning would be to expose her wrestling. She did. I don't think that would change at all. She stopped moving and bouncing on the balls of her feet and Nunes landed clean with the headkick. I was baffled by Holly's gameplan that fight, much like I was with Bobby Knuckles vs Adesanya.
