theJ
Magic Tracy King, SG 76ers 2020 1st Round 76ers aren't very good and could use someone like King. This pushes Evan Turner to SF, but he's ok to play there. Probably the 76ers would have had a top 5 without this trade. I expect this will push them toward the outer reaches of top 10, but that's ok. Which at this point doesn't matter. But keeping King would have meant that one of my draft picks doesn't play much.

Will post that tomorrow. On the contract side: Extended Meyers Leonard 3 years (2 years plus player option) for 29.9M total Electing to let Markieff Morris walk. Scot Sheridan, Leonard Gray and Kyle Lowry want to go to FA Centers are really hard to find, so Meyers is a must keep. And he's not too crazy expensive either. theJ
This is actually one of the more decent looking classes i've seen. theJ
I played an actual game with this team today. First one in this franchise, just to get a feel for the team and play with Burke and McGuire in their prime. Those two are a lot of fun. Super athletic, so they move real easily. McGuire is so agile. Reminds me of Vick in those early Madden games. Burke was dangerous from everywhere. Off the dribble, in the post, spotting up. Fun stuff. Probably not the last game i'll play. theJ
I'll post the final stats later, but i finished the regular season for 19-20 earlier. Marty McGuire won the MVP and made All-NBA 1st Team. Dale Burke was All-NBA 3rd team. Kind of caught me off guard since competition at PG made it really hard for McGuire to even make an All-Star team.
theJ
Been trying to think of some ways to keep this particular franchise competitive going forward. I'd like to follow this through McGuire and Burke's retirement, but i know that i'll lose interest if i win the championship every year for too many years in a row. So effective now, and continuing as long as i deem necessary, i won't be trading for any more 1st round picks. The roster is already stacked for years to come. I'll continue to use FA to sign some lower level players. Because i'll be at a bit of a competitive disadvantage not signing higher end FA's, i may still elect to use the training camps to help improve some of the lower level players (like i did with Gatling last offseason). But i'll be using it sparingly, and mostly on guys with low potential.

theJ
At this point, the first two rounds are basically a given. However, i want to give a little lead in here because this team has Tracy King and Nik Vucevic. So it's a revenge series! But, they didn't stand a chance. 2019-20 ROUND 1 Magic (1) 76ers (8) 76ers Roster Game 1 112 89 Pos Player OVR Game 2 93 88 PG Mo Gatson 78 Game 3 79 86 SG Tracy King 85 Game 4 93 94 SF Evan Turner 86 Game 5 92 86 PF Thaddeus Young 72 Game 6 100 79 C Nikola Vucevic 69 Game 7 6th James Anderson 73 Denotes Home Denotes Winner Revenge series for Tracy King and Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic performed well (14/9), but King played really poorly (7/5/6 on .265 shooting) Second round is against the Pistons, who have almost the same squad as 2018-19, sans Brandon Knight (though Bryant Henry is no slouch). They're no slouches, but we handled them with ease. 2019-20 ROUND 2 Magic (1) Pistons (4) Pistons Roster Game 1 105 91 Pos Player OVR Game 2 116 105 PG Leroy Booker 91 Game 3 94 69 SG Bryant Henry 83 Game 4 75 80 SF Barry Payne 74 Game 5 103 63 PF Dwayne Coleman 96 Game 6 C Andre Drummond 77 Game 7 6th Shane Slay (PG) 81 Denotes Home Denotes Winner Notes: Took out almost the same squad in 5 games in the 2018-2019 playoff series.
