theJ
My main competition this year, i think. Though the Knicks are really pissing off Giannou by playing him in the 6th man spot, so it's affecting their team chemistry and his production specifically. A few other teams have dual 90+ players, but lack depth. I think i have the best roster. theJ
We do have a trade, about two weeks into the season. The Hawks approached me with this one. Usually i decline and barely look at them, they're so bad. But this one wasn't. Hughes was the 5th pick this year, 78 OVR and a B+ potential. James was A- potential, so it's a little bit of a trade up for the Hawks in terms of ability, potential, etc. But i get the extra two years of team control. theJ
Marty McGuire is set on testing FA, so there won't be a new contract in season. Burke is still undecided, but leaning toward FA.
theJ
Wilfred Bradford's big improvement has created a problem for me. Now he wants a bigger role and more PT. It's just not available on this team, so about a month into the season and i'm exploring a trade.
theJ
Magic Wilfred Bradford 2nd Round 2022 Nuggets Warren Conley 1st Round 2022 Conley is a 66 OVR PF with B- potential, and still has 3 years of team control. Significant downgrade, but i had to reach low to find a guy that wouldn't have a problem with 10 MPG. The 1st rounded is fair given how much better Bradford is, his team friendly contract, and the Nuggets previous record of 38-44. So they probably won't pick toward the top. theJ
The team is killing it defensively, but really struggling offensively. 18th in offense, which is one of my worst offensive teams. Things got much worse when i shipped out Bradford, for some reason. But they both say that playing for a winner is "Not Important" and Financial Security is "Extremely Important". So it makes sense.
theJ
End of season, and i didn't do as well as i wanted or thought i'd do. I think i'm going to pause here for the night, and think about some minor adjustments to my coaching strategy to hopefully make a deep run again. 2021-22 Season Awards MVP Dale Person Knicks ROY Jevon Graves Warriors 6th Man Perry Hutchinson Raptors DPOY Demarcus Cousins Kings Most Improved Riczi Dugonics Mavericks COY Sebastion Hale Knicks Bernard Hughes All-Rookie 1st Team 2021-22 Season Player Stats Position Name PPG RPG APG SPG BPG SF Dale Burke 21.1 7 2.7 1.5 1 PG Marty McGuire 19 4.3 6.9 2.1 0.5 PF Gerald Gatson 14.6 7.5 2.1 0.3 0.7 SG Vin Hill 10.9 4.1 2.2 0.8 0.8 SG Bernard Hughes 9.5 3 3.2 0.6 0.3 PF William Goodman 6.3 7.2 2 0.6 0.9 PF Scot Sheridan 5.5 5.5 0.8 0.1 0.6 PG Jake Tate 4.8 1.1 1.7 0.3 0.1 2020-21 Team Stats 2021-22 Team Stats Numbers League Rank Numbers League Rank Record 55-27 1st 54-28 2nd Off Pts/Game 99.4 18th 98.9 19th Def Pts/Game 91.9 1st 90.8 1st APG 22.8 6th 22.2 10th RPG 49.1 10th 48.4 16th SPG 6.5 14th 6.6 18th BPG 5.1 22nd 5.4 18th TOPG 13.4 7th 12.7 1st Got worse in a lot of areas. This is him struggling with being the 4th option, and not being a great offensive player to begin with. Burke, McGuire and Gatson are all obviously better offensive players. Goodman's strength is rebounding and defense. Next season i'm going to switch to more of a run and gun, really amp it up offensively. That might help. EDIT: 5th or 6th option really.
