I also suggested that McCarthy should perhaps look at a Clay Matthews highlight reel. I mean, really. McCarthy has a guy on his own team who has made a career out of this sort of hit. In a game the Vikings never trailed, and despite Packers QB Aaron Rodgers leaving on the second drive with a broken collarbone, Green Bay worked their three-receiver sets. Per usual, both starting safeties (in this case Anthony Harris joined Harrison Smith with the injury to Andrew Sendejo) played all 66 defensive snaps. So did CB Xavier Rhodes. Trae Waynes played 61 snaps, Terence Newman played 51 and Mackensie Alexander was in for 20 plays. vike daddy Posted October 17, 2017 Share Posted October 17, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YltTq146F70 nearly identical hit of Matthews on Carson Palmer, other than Barr did a better job wrapping his arms around Rodgers, as the defender is required to do. both hits were legal, non dirty, non unnecessary, just football being played. nor did either qb get thrown to the ground. to throw something, a ball or a person, you have to have it in your grasp, at least partially let go, and fling it away from your body.
