Such a Jaguars thing to have happen.  On so many levels.

Gonna be so hard to really even know exactly what Urban's "special role" to justify that 1st round pick was going to look like for Etienne.  Or if it would even actually work.  Plus, obviously just a weapon of some sort missing for the year, from a team that's really not overflowing with gamebreaking offensive talent to surround our rookie QB.

 

And then there's the obvious concern about a guy who was drafted pretty much purely on his "speed and explosiveness", now suffering a season-ending lisfranc injury as a rookie.  Maybe it's not that bad, and maybe he comes back healthy and just fine.  But plenty a career has been derailed by that type of thing.  And it's especially concerning when the main thing it tends to impact deleteriously, is the very explosive qualities that potentially made Etienne a worthwhile selection in the first place.

Just sucky all around.

This is sad, but I'm happy to know that the organization is making the correct choice on his health. Injuries happen, but hopefully he comes back strong and he's able to perform at his full potential.
