Pastor Dillon
The Texans aren’t going to win much. We all know that. So since we won’t be winning, what kind of numbers does Mills have to put up to get a 3rd year at QB? im gonna say 4,000 yards and 25 TDs minimum to keep us from looking at other options. NudeTayne
3500 yards, minimum 2/1 TD/INT with a medium-high number of touchdowns and must look confident, making big throws at times. The offense has to "click" for the most part. I'm giving it a 60-40 that this happens. I like him more than most. It also will depend on if the Texans have a shot at a talent who is considered worth a top-5 pick.
ET80
I’m more focused on completion percentage and INTs - couldn’t care less if he’s 4,000/25 if he’s sub 65% with 25 INTs. In his last season in Tampa Bay, Jameis Winston hit 5,000/30 - but was completing 60.7% of his passes with 30 INTs. That’s not a good season, IMO.
PAtexansFAN_99
I agree, efficiency will be paramount for Mills. Really I think it'll come down to how many games we win, and how integral a part of those wins he is. Really, I think it's going to be a lot about style points with Mills relative to whether or not we decide to re-up. I need to see a clutch, game-winning throw or two as time expires before I'd consider buying a jersey.
lumberjackchris
The hype is unreal. Please just show some growth that supposedly people are seeing in TC tonight!

Pastor Dillon
I’m really rooting for mills to be the guy but I’m just not sold on him and I’m not sold on the coaching staff to make him the guy.

Yeah, it was a poor showing, but I also think it was just a blip. I don't think it's too much to worry about, but we'll see. Let's give him half this season before we really start to consider next year's quarterbacks. But yeah, not a great look.
