We've got such a buffer between the bubble and our spot. We're 19 points clear of the bubble with two games in hand and 17 games to go. Of the teams that have played 65 games, we're 22 points clear. Someone posted it on HF, but I believe that the amount of points we have as of right now is the amount of points the second wild card is projected for. Makes sense since hockey .500 for the WC teams, which is basically what they've been playing, would put the Penguins at 93 points (8-8-1) and they occupy WC1 right now.
