rob_shadows
So I noticed the PFF draft simulator evaluates the likelihood of acceptance for player trades (probably poorly but still) and there is a scenario that I'm fairly certain none of us want to happen but is nonetheless a (very remote) possibility and I figured...well let's see what that might look like. So here it is...Our worst nightmare and the one mock none of us want to see happen...which is why it probably will 🤣 TRADE: Detroit Lions trade Jared Goff and pick 153 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for pick 19, pick 82, and a 2024 3rd Round pick. Pick 6 - C.J Stroud, QB, OSU, PFF draft grade A+ 🤣 Pick 18 - Cam Smith, CB, SC, PFF draft grade C 🤔 Pick 19 - O'Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida, PFF draft grade D+ (uhh...wut?) Pick 48 - Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa, PFF draft grade C+ Pick 55 - Felix Anudike-Uzomah, EDGE, K State, PFF draft grade B- Pick 81 - Keondre Coburn, DT, Texas, PFF draft grade B- Pick 82 - Jordan Battle, S, Alabama, PFF draft grade B- Pick 181 - Noah Gyndorff, TE, NDSU, PFF draft grade F (not my fault they don't know a sleeper) Pick 192 - Jake Moody, K, Michigan, PFF draft grade F (pretty sure it's just because it's a K) Overall PFF draft grade B- Ugh...just doing this mock made me want to drink and I don't even consume alcohol! Superduperman
I'm not saying this would be good, but if this is the worst the Lions could possibly do then we're in decent shape don't sweat PFF grades. It's all based on their big board and if you select a player at a certain pick who's ranked more than a few spots below the pick number, you get an automatic bad grade. It's a dumb system. I don't like Cam Smith myself but otherwise I've seen worse mocks (some ah has us taking Michael Mayer at #6 in their mock).

Honestly Cam Smith might as well be a placeholder, basically just insert your favorite DB likely to be there in that spot.

If we took another 1st round TE, I'd say the water is tainted at the Lions Headquarters.

Someone bottled the water from Flint. Not even 1st round but top 10...
Just Want A Title
Personally, if it took a 6th-round pick to get us a legitmate PK for the next 10 years, I would have no problem with than. Adding a Jason Hanson type kicker would help Dan Campbell sleep better at night.
