WizardHawk
By most accounts seems like a solid hire. Obviously he’s been around the block a time or two as he was on Landry’s last coaching staff. Seems like we can expect a varied blocking scheme, with a lean towards power. Mixed bag with his last stint with Seattle. Run game was outstanding, pass blocking not so much. Hopefully we see more along the lines of what took place under Harbaugh in San Fran. If you don’t want Brian Schottenheimer as OC….well this probably doesn’t bode well. Edited February 1, 2023 by WizardHawk
WizardHawk
Little better idea of what we’re getting. https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/platform/amp/2023/2/1/23581756/cowboys-mike-solari-new-offensive-line-coach-mike-mccarthy-brian-schottenheimer This should be music to the ears of a select few here. I suspect the run game is about to become more of a focal point. https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/.amp/news/mike-solari-seahawks-had-little-choice-but-to-part-ways Edited February 1, 2023 by WizardHawk
D82
I remember Solari favorably from his days with the Chiefs o-line during the early 2000s when they were at their heyday. If he can bring that level to the o-line, this should be a solid hire.

They were going to produce. Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson, and Jamal Charles all had multiple great seasons under Solari. Along with 3 all pro OL, Willie Roaf, Brian Waters, and Will Shields.
