Louis Friend
Lions cut Michael Brockers Quote Two years after acquiring Michael Brockers in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, the Detroit Lions are releasing the veteran defensive lineman in a cost-cutting move that creates $10 million in cap space. The Lions and Brockers amicably agreed to part ways Thursday, 20 days before the start of the 2023 league year. First of many expected moves for the Lions. Frees up $10 Million in capspace.
NVRamsFan
One of my favorite guys but for what he gives on the field he's been over paid for a while. Great guy great teammate from all reports though so he'll likely catch on somewhere for a couple years for less money.
MOSteelers56
I'd really like him to sign with the Steelers. I've always liked Brockers ever since his LSU days. We could use some reinforcements on the D-line pretty bad too. He's still got some juice left in his legs doesn't he?
Superduperman
He was a healthy scratch for the whole second half of the season and the Lions kept him around mostly for his locker room presence. Make of that what you will. I don't know exactly what he was being asked to do or if he could still be effective on some other team in a different role. In the past, there were plenty of guys on the Lions who didn't do much because the Lions were not the kind of team guys try hard for, but then they'd go elsewhere and play better. This doesn't really seem like that kind of case, but we'll see I guess.
SteelKing728
He should be okay on a one year deal somewhere.
