kgarrett12486
Mark Saxon today said he was told Carlos Martinez is about 2-3 weeks away from being sent for rehab starts in minors... Also, Alex Reyes being stretched out to come back as a potential starter...

It's an actual injury to the knee...
kgarrett12486
Dexter Fowler has really turned it around the last 3 weeks. He's up to .313/.403/.835 slash line. That's pretty impressive...
MOSteelers56
The offense is scorching. With the way Fowler and Martinez are swinging the bat, I'm not sure Bader immediately gets his starting spot back.

ttitansfan4life
The offense finally gets to where it should be and now the pitching isn’t up to par. Rotation is pretty terrifying and I really don’t see Hudson as anything more than a bullpen arm. No real ace on the staff at the moment. Maybe someone emerges like Mikolas or Flaherty but don’t see ace out of either. Is Keuchel out of the picture? Not an ace but certainly better than most of the starters in the current rotation. It's still early, but it's been a struggle thus far. I think most of the guys will start to turn the corner and start giving you more traditional starts. Especially guys like Mikolas, Flaherty and Wacha (assuming his injury is minor). Flaherty has all the makings of a staff ace when he's right, we've seen that potential all ready last year... To answer your question on Kuechel: 1. I don't see us going after him even if current staff struggles continue. Remember, we still have a lot of internal options that are waiting in the wings for starts (Ponce, Reyes, Gomber) and when Carlos comes back, they could even plug Gant back into rotation... 2. Even if we were interested in Kuechel, we won't be pursuing him until June. That's when his draft pick compensation drops off...

kgarrett12486
So glad the FO didn't listen to those who wanted to deal Jose Martinez for peanuts... Dude just flat out hits and has been spark plug for this offense once he was plugged in full time...
kgarrett12486
That was a hit by Fowler. Replay showed the white chalk come up off the grass when ball hit... Amazes me how these still get missed on replay...
