That is too bad, Rogers was starting to play good ball towards the end of last year.

I really don't understand though, why is drug use a 4-game suspension, sexually assaulting multiple women is a 10-game suspension, but gambling is an indefinite suspension.

None of them are good things to do but the first two items are, IMO, much worse than betting on your team.

The other suspensions are written into the CBA and agreed upon by the NFLPA. They made the drug suspensions so that a first time offense doesn’t even garner a suspension.

Deshaun Watson has not been criminally prosecuted (all civil lawsuits- lower bar for proving guilt) for assaulting those women but he also sat out an entire season prior to the suspension so realistically he missed 26(27?) games for something he wasn’t criminally charged with.

The gambling suspensions are not part of the CBA but the NFLPA isn’t going to challenge them because “integrity of the game”. The more money the NFL makes on gambling the more the salary cap rises.

The other offenses are not directly related to the league, games and teams, gambling is. Hence the idea of any player making bets based on perceived insider info is going to cause some people to question the NFL’s relationship with the sports betting market.

Remember, Pete Rose was suspended from the MLB for life for betting on his teams games and is still not in the HOF. It’s that serious.

Nothing to argue with your explanations meaning they are accurate and truthful. but it doesn't make it right.  One could argue that drug use has a bigger impact on the league than gambling, sexual assault of 20+ women definitely has a bigger impact

Plus when it comes to assaulting women, I don't care if it's civil or criminal, it's worse than gambling.

Either way, it's one of the many reasons why the NFL is moving towards being unwatchable anymore.
