And this is all just in response to the idea that it is comparable to say that Mike Tomlin getting Russell Wilson for 1.2 million is the same thing has Belichick getting Cam Newton because it is definitive that Belichick was unable to evaluate the quarterback position after Brady which cost him his job as opposed to Mike Tomlin who we can't say that definitively but what we do now is that he was able consistently enough to go to the playoffs last year while shuffling two quarterbacks. So it would be safe to say that it makes a lot of sense for someone like him to sign Russell Wilson for 1.2 million because he believes that it can help his team because he would be better than what they already have. That was the point

The Patriots signed Cam Newton to a $1.75M contract as well so how are the two situations different? It's definitive that Bill can't evaluate QB's after Brady but he had Mac Jones in the Pro Bowl for a playoff team during his rookie season. The Steelers have signed Mitchell Trubisky, drafted Kenny Pickett, and just signed Russell Wilson and you think the jury is still out on if Tomlin can or cannot evaluate QB talent?

In the first two years post Brady the Patriots went 17-16 with one playoff appearance. In the two years since Ben retired the Steelers have gone 19-15 with one playoff appearance.

The thing that makes the Rattler evaluation easy for me is this:

• Top tier physical profile? No, 6'0 211

• Top tier athletic tools? No, one of the worst RAS we've seen from a QB.

• High level college production? No, 37 TD/20 INT over the last two years.

• High quality character? No, he got ran out of a program and seems like a doucher.

• High level potential? No, he'll be a 24 year old rookie.

Dude is literally the polar opposite of Michael Penix Jr in all but their age lol.

Said it before, Rattler is the product of name recognition and hype rolling over from high school recruiting and premature QB rankings by college pundits from before he ever actually took a snap at Oklahoma. We were told he was going to be a stud. Dude was listed as a top 10 QB the moment he was named the starter at a be brand program. Some people refuse to let it go.

It's the Hackenburg effect.

The only things people can say are he has arm talent and his team sucked. I don't think his arm is anything special.

Wear a Starter jacket and does cool handshakes with the HC while remaining employed for entirely unknown reasons beyond nepotism, apparently.

Thank god we're able to deploy offensive mastermind Luke Getsy to hand pick his guys like Rattler.

It's not.

And his South Carolina team sucked....him included lol.

During his first season at South Carolina he had 8 TD / 9 INT over the first 10 weeks before he stat padded his numbers up at the end of the year.

Proof that Darwin's theory on evolution is, indeed, real.

Caleb is what Rattler was supposed to be

An attitudinal midget from Lincoln Riley that will actually go in the 1st round and bust as opposed to an attitudinal midget who won't go in the 1st so can't actually bust?

Cam sat out a year before and there were already issues with his throwing arm and being able to push the ball down the field. picking him up was a desperation movie after stidham didnt look ready in the offseason.

In terms of the point about Mitch tru and Kenny Pickett, he showed regardless of that he can lead a team to the playoffs without good qb play.

His first year without Brady, Belicheck went below .500

His first year without Ben, Tomlin went above .500 and went to the playoffs
