Well, Joe is trying like hell to ruin the game for you. First, an idiotic suicide squeeze call with Javy up and no outs, and then he inexplicably lets Heyward hit against Miller with a runner in scoring position and lefty masher Almora still available. At least he had been hitting the crap out of the ball lately. KB was the one who has looked really bad offensively last night. Really strange to see. Yu to the DL with triceps tendinitis and will get an MRI today or tomorrow. Feel free to pucker your bungholes.
Blazer026
Looks like Montgomery will start tomorrow. Hopefully he starts to figure it out, he hasn't looked like himself since the start of last years playoffs.

Could have made it out of the first without giving up a run if Russell wouldn't have made such a lazy play. But yeah, it seems like he's walking 5 people a game. He really needs to figure out his control issues. Very concerning.

Even when he “calmed down” and got out of that bases loaded jam with back to back strike outs and then a gbo, he still nearly hit Longoria in the head with back to back pitches. And Willson set away on both of them. His command yesterday was some of the worst I have ever seen.

pwny
Heyward has been playing the best baseball of his Cub career since coming off the DL. Just had a 4 hit game, and he’s been mashing.

pwny
Batting .364 with a .404 OBP since coming off the DL. So happy he's on this run. Hope he finally has turned it around.

As hot as Heyward has been, KB has been equally as cold. Obviously he will come out of it, but it’s amazing that we just swept the Mets in a 4 game series on the road with KB scuffling so badly.
