This happens with actors all the time. It's a SAG rule that you can't perform under the same name another guild member is using, even if that is your real name. So like Michael Keaton's actual name is "Michael Douglas" but there was already a Michael Douglas, so he decided to go by his middle name (Keaton) instead. Michael J.
