He'll be 30, but we need an edge.  Could be a could get on a short-term deal.

Can he play the 3-4 OLB? I remember mocking him to us in a mock draft when I first joined this site in 2012. He’s a NJ guy too so maybe a homecoming?

Yeah, he's played it before.  The fact is that we need a guy who can get some pressure on the QB.  I'd take him on 3 year deal with a guarantee only tying us to a year or two unless we find our future at edge.  Curry isn't great as a pass rusher, but he's adequate and grades out well against the run.

The only thing I don’t like about that though is we have our own young guys who fit the need of solid linebackers. We need a specialised pass rusher in my opinion. That’s why I wouldn’t of minded trading for Robert Quinn. Not exactly a great scheme fit for us but an out and out pass rusher.

Curry is also listed at 278lbs. Heavy for a OLB don’t you think?!

We don't really though.  Jenkins is playing one side, who's on the other?  For Curry, we run a lot of 4-3 fronts, but I think we'd be fine.

I think Curry would play the same role that Ealy played last year, don't think he'd be a good fit at OLB. Rather just try and bring back Ealy tbh.

Curry's a hell of a lot better than Ealy though.  Graded out as the 21st best DE in the league last year.  Ealy was 61.

Curry led Eagles in combined QB pressures/hits and believes his low sack total is symptomatic of coming off the field on pass-rush downs. He’s hoping a change of scenery helps him get the opportunity he seeks.

One main obstacle between Vinny Curry and a restructure with #Eagles: playing time. Curry wants to be somewhere he can rush the passer on third down. Didn’t have that opportunity last year and wasn’t gonna get it this year with #Eagles.

I have watched the Eagles DLine a lot over the past few years and have never understood why Curry isn't more highly regarded. I've seen him dominate entire drives before. I think he's perfect for this team as a DE that can even move inside. Seen him rip through guards on passing downs.

He's absolutely not a LB.

Is this the same sandwich from forever ago?

In that case, i'll still take him for the line and let him bring pressure that way then.
