Really the off the field problems for Foster continue. Makes you wonder if John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan have second thoughts.

Meh, I don't think so. Back end of the first / early second, that's a decent time to take a chance on guys who have top 10 level talent in a given draft but other questions (injury, character, etc).

It's funny that this could jeopardize his career if it ever happens again, but Adam Silver, Rob Manfred, and whoever the NHL commissioner are likely wouldn't give 2 craps if it happened several times in a week. Ok that's probably hyperbole, but they probably wouldn't care if it happened like 2-3 times a year as long as it was just the devils lettuce.

If it's his 2nd (Combine and now this), it's concerning, but everyone should also remember - Von Miller, Trent Williams and Le'veon Bell are just recent example of guys who've either failed at least 4x or got arrested driving (Bell).   If you get to the point you're suspended, it's a major career risk because the next is 10 games, but even at 4 game suspension (which Foster won't be at if this is #2), it's not a career ender.

Really, though, now that's it's as public as it is, there's no excuse for Foster not to turn it around like Miller/Williams/Bell have in avoiding problems.    He's certainly elite play-wise - the 4th overall ILB by PFF (it's not perfect by any means, but the eye test matches).   He keeps his nose clean, he's going to make 8 figures easy in his next contract AAV.   That's all the reason in the world to stay clean going forward (the way the tests are set up, if he's out of the program, then it's open season to use weed until later on, but now with the public eye on him, going to have to abstain).
