That only serves to eat up a bunch of cap space in a year when it’s already limited, and there is no long-term payoff. I would hope their offer is at least a 3 year deal. But I think it had to have been at least a very creative offer to keep the Bears from matching it, otherwise there'd be no point in even throwing an offer sheet out there.
