  1. Fact ... Lol 30,000.... Sheesh ... that's wild... in that case I'm still not totally convinced you're not just a google A.I. algorithm designed to trigger and observe human behavior that went faulty somewhere back in the day and now just posts in the football draftnik multi-verse under alias' that all start with "LETSGO...." . Who knew all this time that LETSGOPACKERS, LETSGOEAGLES, and LETSGOBROWNIES and so on and so on are all the same, one A.I. ... no wonder you have so many posts... it all makes sense now ...
  2. Man oh mannnn .... I just looked up and was shocked to see that I had 3,500+ posts (madness) .... Lol ... I thought I might've had in the high 1000s or something I don't know what... it's crazy... but crazier to think that I've been reading FF's draft/player rankings/mocks since the "Speed skater Wimbley and DeMeco Ryans no matter what" 2006 "Leon Williams?! days, and then I started reading the Browns forum posts during draft season since in 2007 ... time flies ... it's wild that I just draft season lurked for all those years and didn't register and post until 2016 ... hahaha... Good times... I know for a fact that a lot of the old names I used to see/read are new names that I've interacted with as many have their old name in the sig or others have the same or similar name, but I wonder who else I've interacted with under newer alias' that I used to read, agree, and disagree with way back when ... FF has been the truth for a long time... I remember I used to go between FF and nflraftcountdown for draft info ... what an internet time it was...
  3. You're right ... he'll definitely have a better pro career than college as the NBA empowers pure scorers. Ending up with RJ wouldn't be bad all things considered b/c he's very very talented, but he's not going make others around him better on offense or defense imo. I just have a bias against players without good to elite awareness, vision, and feel for the game.... and I feel like RJ is that lack of awareness, put his head down, over-dribble, bull-doze his way to the rim and throw an ugly shot up left handed type of player. I'm just not a huge fan of how that type of player meshes with Collin Sexton. If we didn't have Sexton, I'd be more in favor of drafting a go get it scorer like Barrett.
  4. We're going to pass on Ja for RJ and then Ja is going to be the best player from this draft in two years. Who's ready for pound the air out the ball with blinders on at "The Field" or "The House" or whatever the hell the new arena nickname will be....
  5. I think you're absolutely right to question Lonnie's coverage ability initially, but I think there are some contextual factors (the UK defensive roles/scheme) that minimize that concern some. I don't care at all about combine testing I only care about on-field football play athleticism. We are talking about pick 80. So, the type of player available around pick 80 is one type of player: A player with clear flaws in their game. Context free, It's a simple evaluation for me w/ Lonnie. He has the feet, the hips, the competitive fire, the dynamic quick movement skill, the strength, the tackling willingness and ability, the ball skills, the route awareness, and love the game to the point that development and coaching could make him a impact quality starter. Beyond that though, I wasn't a big fan of Lonnie's coverage ability at all until I started watching in-depth while watching CB Derrick Baity, S Darius West, and S Mike Edwards' snaps for their respective evaluation and got an understanding of the overall defense. At that point some things became clear. The first, there are two Lonnie Johnson Jr's; (1) Lonnie the press man, trail technique, bump and run player AND (2) Lonnie the zone coverage CB. The former (press man CB) is far superior to the poor play player in Lonnie the zone CB. Lonnie's worst snaps where he looks poor are when he plays off the ball zone coverage with catch WR technique. If the press/in-hip-pocket CB Lonnie is a 90 rating, the zone CB is a 50. In fact, on second watch of his games I started to chart zone versus man snaps, as well as which Safety was lined up near him. In zone, he simply doesn't know the proper way to use his eyes and cue-read and that gets him in trouble and at times has him looking lost in coverage in zone catch technique. The contrast was glaring. Most often, Kentucky plays a mix-match zone that allows their impact move-SS Darius West the ability to either be a nickel or box chess piece, has Derrick Baity who's even worse at zone than Lonnie played in the role of press man to protect his deficiencies, has S Mike Edwards as a limited range ability near-Box alignment pass disrupter, leaving Lonnie Johnson to play the role of a zone CB off the line to deter immediate deep ball reads by the QB. Lonnie's used out of his best role for 3 reasons: 1.) It allows Darius West to range-playmake all over the field as a severely limited range pass support player from the high S spot, 2.) It protects S Mike Edwards b/c despite being lined up as a FS he is best as a big-nickel w/ limited range and pass support ability as FS, and 3.) CB Derrick Baity needs the over the top support more so than Lonnie so they play Baity as the press CB with S support more so than Lonnie. In my mind, Lonnie's the best press corner in the draft. He plays with a different level of confidence, stays on the inside hip, and reads the game at a high level in that role. Furthermore, his route awareness and ball awareness is different when he gets to run in phase with the WR. Contrary to most opinions on Wilks' zone scheme, it's more of mix-match zone scheme with man and press man concepts and responsibilities for CBs based on the call. A lot of misnomers out there that Wilks plays zone so we need zone CBs. The quality of player Lonnie is imo is one that we'd be fortunate to get at pick 80 as many in the league think he's a sure-fire top 50 selection based on opinions of him inside league personnel rooms. Will be interesting to see where he goes.
  6. 2(49): -- Amani Oruwariye, CB Penn State 3(80): -- Lonnie Johnson Jr., CB Kentucky 4(119): -- LJ Collier, 3Tech DT-Convert TCU 5(144):-- Mitch Hyatt, LT Clemson 5(155): -- Devin Singletary, RB FAU 5(170): -- LaDarius Wiley, SS Vanderbilt 6(189): -- Isaac Nauta, TE Georgia 7(221): -- Kenny Young, OW Miami (OH)
  7. Those that think Barrett is better than Morant puzzle me. It always come down to "he has size and is taller."
  8. The Bulls lost to the Knicks as I expected ... smh... they won't win another game with their roster tank optimized shutting down their top 4 players... the Cavs are down 16 to the Suns... they need to lose this game...
  9. I see 4 or 5 wins ... the last 3 games we'll face the 2nd team's of the Warriors, Spurs, and Hornets as they will rest all of their starters before the playoffs. With our starters back, depth, and pride we'll win those games. We'll beat the Suns outright. That's 4 wins. Sacramento is a toss up. The Bulls have Sat, Mar 30 vsToronto 8:00 PM Tickets as low as $27 Mon, Apr 1 @New York 7:30 PM Tickets as low as $55 Wed, Apr 3 @Washington 7:00 PM Tickets as low as $6 Sat, Apr 6 vsPhiladelphia 8:00 PM NBATV Tickets as low as $26 Tue, Apr 9 vsNew York 8:00 PM Tickets as low as $17 Wed, Apr 10 @Philadelphia 8:00 PM Tickets as low as $17 Without Lauri, Otto, Lavine .. their 2nd team is one of the worst in the nba. They'll lose to almost everyone. They'll lose to Toronto and split the final two games with New York (although I wounldnt be shocked given how terrible their backups are if they lose out). This is who they played with yesterday. PG SHAQUILLE HARRISON SG BRANDON SAMPSON // ANTONIO BLAKENEY SF WAYNE SELDEN // TIMOTHE LUWAWU-CABARROT PF CRISTIANO FELICIO C ROBIN LOPEZ That Team maybe wins 1 game maybe maybe 2. Likely none. They lose out and if we win 2 games because their 1.5 back then we're screwed. They are epic tanking at the perfect time. It sucks, I'd bet good money that they win 1 game at most, but we win at least 3 down the stretch.
  10. Bulls shut down Lauri Markkanen with reports that Lavine and Otto Porter are next. Full on tank at the worst time for the Cavs. Only 2 games separate us ... the cavs ... sexton playing like their lives depend on it with effort in some games means we likely fall to the dreaded 4th lottery odds spot ... hopefully the new lottery odds still allow us to get in the top 3.
  11. Sexton ,,, 1 assist at the end of the 1st quarter... end of the 4th qtr 1 assists. So many games like this. Scoring guard.
  12. A lot of people think Sexton's 6'3'' b/c of how big he plays, but in reality he's 6' 0.5'' without shoes and 6' 1.5'' with shoes. That's a small scoring guard if we make Ja our point guard. Going to need some good rim protection.
  13. There is no offensive flow or offensive rhythm with RJ Barrett and Collin Sexton dominating the ball. They are both really good players with great/valuable skill but not a good fit as the advanced analytics reflect that they are close to the top at disrupting offensive pace, times the ball touches other hands, drastic decrease in teammate offensive RPM and movement, halt hockey assists, the number of one man dribbles is as high. Barrett is a blinders on lack of awareness pure scorer that can only use one hand. His assist numbers are apparitions and don't reflect injecting energy, life, flow, rhythm, creativity, inspiring team ball movement and playmaking like Ja Morant's assist numbers do. Ja is the only player in college basketball history to average 20 points and 10 assists per game over an entire season. Think about that. Two great scoring, slashing combo guards... one an elite facilitator. I'm All in on the Ja Morant-Collin Sexton pairing.
  14. Got it. Agreed. Yeah, his understanding will grow. Should be fun to watch his development
  15. Lol. I follow Cleveland sports man. I remember that game and worse ones play-wise were Kyrie had few assists statistically but the game was garbage from a facilitation perspective. I agree that Sexton's not a finished product, but at the same level of development Kyrie was light-years ahead of Collin in terms of ability to facilitate and read/see the game with vision. Collin hasn't been playing ball as long as Kyrie at the same level in high school though so there's that. Collin is what he is.. and that is a really good scorer with deficient vision that likely can never evolve or be developed in ways to even make him at the above average level of vision. Vision for the game at the PG position is a lot like Accuracy for a QB. It can be improved some, but you either have it or you don't. There's tons to like/love with Colin. He's a special player in his own right.
  16. Kyrie was Never a 1-assist guy in play. Sexton is consistently. There's a chasmic difference between 2.9 assist in 32 minutes (Sexton) and 5-7 assist in 34-35 minutes (Kyrie). Even still ... Numbers don't tell the story completely. Sexton has some of the worst awareness and understanding of cause and effect passing that I've ever seen. He just doesn't see the game well at all. There's tons to love about Sexton, but vision is not a trait that can really be developed when it is as deficient as Sextons'. Kyrie's awareness was never that underdeveloped/poor. Kyrie's assist numbers were b/c he didn't feel like adapting his play style. He could easily drop 8-9 assist a game if he wanted to as his instincts and awareness for passing vision in all its dynamics is good enough. He has 12 assist plus games to prove a point. At this point, Sexton couldn't go out and drop 10-14 assist game if his life depended on it unless the assist were of the hold the ball then throw to a shooter late in the shot clock when options are limited variety, or all dunk lobs to Tristan/Nance. He's a scoring guard exclusively and good player who needs to be paired with a facilitating guard for the team to thrive.
  17. Indeed, It would be insane to pass on Ja Morant b/c we already have Sexton. Morant is the clear #2 player in this draft (debatably even better than Zion) over RJ Barrett. Interestingly, Morant is the better basketball fit than Barrett as well as Barrett is a blinders on, head down, poor awareness scorer much like Sexton. Barrett has deceptive assist numbers in ways that don't reflect the reality of his play and decision-making. Most of the assist are off a lobs or late drive and kicks b/c his shot was taken away. He's not a facilitator, and he sucks the energy out of ball flow. He's a great prospect in his own right, but not a fit at all with Sexton. PG Ja Morant and Scoring Guard Collin Sexton is a pair we can build around.
  18. The sacred plants shall teleport you to the King Sam of San Clemente dimension... where Kai and Sam run free on the eternal plane of pure bliss while we gaze on smiling with a Lombardi trophy in each of our hands and a four loko in the other... the moment shall be everlasting transcendence ... football nirvana ... the moment we've waited for our entire lives...
  19. The difference between the the 2nd and 9th worse records was only 6 games. Last year, the difference between the worst record and the 4th worst was 3 games. You do realize that we have the 3rd worse record in the league without Kevin love. It's not crazy to believe that adding Kevin Love gets us 3-5 more games against bad/tanking teams by the end of the season. That will be enough to drop us out of the top 3 unfortunately. I never said K.Love turns us into a major winner, but it's hard to deny that Love could lead us on the side of winning in close games 3-5 more times than we need to during the rest of the season.
  20. 2019 Final Definitive Cavaliers NBA Big Board: 1.) Zion Williamson, SF/PF Duke 2.) Ja Morant, PG Murray State 3.) KZ Okpala, SG/SF Stanford 4.) Cameron Reddish, SG Duke 5.) Coby White, PG/SG UNC 6.) RJ Barrett, SG Duke ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 Starting 5: (Kevin Love's play causes us to drop out of the top 3 lotto chance). 1(5): KZ Okpala 1(24) Coby White ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2020 Starting 5: (Kevin Love Traded in Off-Season for Draft Capital) PG: Coby White Combo Guard: Collin Sexton SF: Cedi Osman Forward Hybrid: KZ Okpala Big: Tristan Thompson
  21. QB Pairing Predictions: 1.) Giants -- Teddy Bridgewater or Eli Manning via FA, as well as and Dwayne Haskins via Draft 2.) Washington -- Case Keenum 1-yr rental or Blake Bortles 1-yr rental until Alex Smith returns 3.) Broncos -- Nick Foles via FA and Drew Lock via Draft 4.) Jaguars -- Joe Flacco or Eli Manning via Acquisition and Daniel Jones via Draft 5.) Dolphins -- Tyrod Taylor via FA and Ryan Finley/Clayton Thorson via Draft ------------------------------------------ That would leave us to target Fitzpatrick, Siemian, or Hundley (drafted in the 5th round by the Packers; see Eliot Wolf presser on Hundley below)
  22. Updated the List by adding Nick Foles (not a realistic target for Browns), Mike Glennon, Brock Osweiler, and Sam Bradford (might retire)
  23. He did go 3-1 in 2017 with a 49% completion percentage and a 5 to 6; TD to INT ratio and 4 fumbles. He won b/c of the defense. Blaine Gabbert going 2-1 while Marcus Mariota was out helped maintain the Titans playoff hopes upon Mariota's return from injury. Chase Daniel helped the Bears keep pace when he had to step in for Trubisky. That's all we need our Backup QB to do, and I just believe that Drew Stanton is not qualified to that in ways similar to some of those QBs on that backup QB list. I agree with you in that the backup will command a lot of money. Heck, Chase Daniel gets paid 10 million a year. But here's the thing, We have tons of money. We'll just have to agree to disagree on where Stanton would rank on that list as I'd have him at the bottom of the backup QB list of QBs likely to be available this off-season.
