I used to think I couldn't cook a decent steak, turns out I just wasn't using the right method. Girls would laugh at my meat. "Haha look it's all shriveled and dry." Now their mouths drop wide and the watering starts right away.

Crockpot/Slow cooker. Can be a huge money saver and easy to large amounts of food. Could even splurge for the WiFi capable ones to turn on or off while you aren't at home.

This was my #1 immediately out of college. Now I'd just say get an Instant Pot, and learn to deal with recipes that double as a stay-at-home mom's life story. Basically takes the crock pot time from 6-8 hours to .5-1.
