Milton just had bloodflow restored to the leg, that means there is significant nerve damage and he still is in danger of potentially losing it.

Awful, millions of dollars lost in a moment for the kid. At this point I just hope he keeps his leg and can walk without pain again.

Yeah, forget the millions for a second.  Keeping his leg is the most important part of all of this.  This was a brutal injury and a normal life is certainly the goal right now.

And it's important to note that "the nerve is intact" doesn't mean "there isn't significant damage to it". Because if it wasn't intact he'd likely have to have the leg amputated, so there could and very likely will be some hellish long term complications he's going to suffer because of this. It's likely that, at some point, barring a miracle and suffering only minor minor nerve damage, that he will end up having to lose that leg in his lifetime, or need serious ambulatory assistance.

Which is why it's disgusting that these kids don't get any kind of long term insurance coverage from their schools.
