MKnight82
*TRADE* Utah Jazz Receive PF Michael Beasley (77) Miami Heat Receive C Tony Bradley (72) 2021 Jazz 1st Round Pick (top 3 protected) Beasley gives the Jazz a stretch 4 to play next to Gobert. Bradley is only 21 years old and was the 28th pick in the 2017 draft. He has 3 years remaining on his cheap contract. He only has B- potential though. MKnight82
*TRADE* San Antonio Spurs Receive SF Justice Winslow (77) 2023 2nd Round Pick Miami Heat Receive C Jakob Poeltl (76) 2019 Spurs 1st Round Pick (top 3 protected) The Spurs approached me about this deal, I wasn't really looking to shop Winslow but his salary is about to spike considerably next season and he isn't really worth $15 mil a year. Poeltl has another year on his cheap rookie deal next year and this first could end up in the lottery.

MKnight82
Draft Lottery I have the #1 and #14 odds in this draft. The top 5 odds are: 1. Heat (25.0%) 2. Suns (19.9%) 3. Knicks (15.6%) 4. Hornets (9.0%) 5. Celtics (9.0%) – via Kings (ridiculous) Who’s it going to be….. My pick from the Spurs held at #14. Memphis has jumped from 6 into the top 3. The Celtics fell to 6, Hornets 5, Knicks 4. Grizzlies landed the #3 pick in the lottery, the Suns have 2, that means I wont the lottery! WOOOOO. MKnight82
2019 NBA Draft Draft Picks Round 1 – 1 overall Round 1 – 14 overall Round 1 – 15 overall #1 overall is an easy decision, Collins is a surefire franchise player. 14 & 15 should be solid prospects too, I'll be looking BPA there regardless of position. With the 1st pick in the NBA draft the Miami Heat select: SF/SG, Allan Collins, Rutgers DE Rank Position Name Height Weight Wingspan School OVR Potential 1 SF/SG Allan Collins 6'10" 226 7'5" Rutgers 83 A INS MID 3PT INS D PER D PLMK REB IQ PHYS B+ B+ A C B- B- C B A- Collins is a beast, he really has no weaknesses. Great size, great shooting, solid defender. I just have to decide on whether to play him at SF or SG. Time to sim to 14. PG Wayne Padgett goes #2 to the Suns, I know they are hurting for a true PG but that's a huge reach IMO. SG Daniel Cobb goes #3 to the Grizzlies, that's a much better pick than Padgett IMO. PG Bo Walsh goes #4 to the Knicks, another guard better than Padgett. SG Ade Udoh rounds out the top 5 to the Hornets, I didn't even have Udoh in my top 10 prospect rankings. I have back to back picks at 14 & 15, so here's a list of the top players available: SG Alvin Duncan DE Rank Position Name Height Weight Wingspan School OVR Potential 8 SG Alvin Duncan 6'7" 219 6'11" Vanderbilt 78 B INS MID 3PT INS D PER D PLMK REB IQ PHYS C- B D+ C- B+ C C B- B- He has elite size for a 2 guard, but can't shoot. Looks like a defensive specialist. He has 99 lateral quickness, 82 Speed and 70 ACC. He doesn't have any great Badges. Looks like a defensive role player. PF Bert Aldridge DE Rank Position Name Height Weight Wingspan School OVR Potential 12 PF Bert Aldridge 6'9" 219 7'0" Notre Dame 70 B+ INS MID 3PT INS D PER D PLMK REB IQ PHYS C+ C- D- B- C+ D+ C+ C+ C- Aldridge is an old school inside banger, and undersized. He isn't anything special physically, 56 SPD, 59 ACC, 69 LQ. But he's a solid interior defender and has the Rim Protector Badge, which I really covet on bigs. C Colin Spencer DE Rank Position Name Height Weight Wingspan School OVR Potential 15 C Colin Spencer 6'11" 212 7'0" Texas Christian 71 A INS MID 3PT INS D PER D PLMK REB IQ PHYS D D- F C+ D+ D A C D+ Spencer is another guys I consider undersized for his position. He also only has 65 SPD, 43 ACC, 54 LQ. He does however have one of the highest Potential Ratings left in the draft, is a great Rebounder, and has the Hustle Rebounder and Putback King badges. He looks like a scrappy player, but Idk if he can ever contribute on offense, and his defense needs work. Rebounding specialist? Worth a first round pick? I'm no so sure. PF Dwayne Pearson DE Rank Position Name Height Weight Wingspan School OVR Potential 21 PF Dwayne Pearson 6'11" 230 7'3" St Johns 73 B- INS MID 3PT INS D PER D PLMK REB IQ PHYS C+ B- A C D+ D+ B C+ C- Pearson is a legit Stretch 4 with size, and he can Rebound. He's not a great athlete, 67 SPD, 51 ACC, 69 LQ, but his shooting from the 4 spot could be very valuable. He also has the Limitless Range and Pick & Popper Badges, leading me to believe he could be a real offensive weapon. I'm not sure if anyone I select here is going to become a star, but after consideration I know who my picks are: With the 14th pick in the NBA draft the Miami Heat select: SG, Alvin Duncan, Vanderbilt He has great size, and at 78 OVR already will probably contribute right away. With the 15th pick in the NBA draft the Miami Heat select: PF, Dwayne Pearson, St. John's Great length and shooting should make him a solid contributor. MKnight82
Player/Team Options C Jacob Poeltl (76) – $3.75 mil – Cheap backup for now. PG Yogi Ferrell (74) - $3.15 mil - Another cheap backup. SF Derrick Jones Jr. (72) - $1.65 mil - Again, for these prices why let them walk. SF Treveon Graham (71) - $1.65 mil - Same reason. Qualifying Offers SF Stanley Johnson (75) - $4.67 mil – I plan on giving this reclamation project another year if he wants to stick around. SG Rodney McGruder (73) – no offer – Don't need him after the draft. Edited December 9, 2018 by MKnight82

MKnight82
*TRADE* Minnesota Timberwolves Receive SG Dion Waiters (77) Miami Heat Receive SF Solomon Hill (71) 2020 Timberwolves 1st Round Pick (lottery protected) This is the last terrible Miami contract I have to push out the door. MKnight82
Free Agency SG Avery Bradley agreed to a 1-year, $6.00 mil contract. So player mentors is a new thing this year. Bradley can mentor Duncan. PG Seth Curry agreed to a 1-year, $1.75 mil contract. He's a shooting mentor for Collins. SF Stanley Johnson signed with someone else. Major Contract Signings: PF Derrick Favors – Mavericks – 3 years, $43.33 mil PG Derrick Rose – Pacers – 3 years, $49.35 mil (why?) PG Isaiah Thomas – Pelicans – 3 years, $48.05 mil SG Jimmy Butler – Suns – 4 years, $131.86 mil (wow!) C DeAndre Jordan - Kings - 4 years, $108.20 mil (lol) PF Nikola Mirotic - Clippers - 3 years, $46.27 mil PF Julius Randle - Nuggets - 3 years, $60.35 mil C Dwight Howard - Hawks - 3 years, $60.76 mil (again??) SG Khris Middleton - 76ers - 4 years, $104.10 mil (ooooo debateable whether they lost anything from Butler) SG Klay Thompson - Mavericks - 4 years - $131.96 mil (end of an era) PG Kemba Walker - Hornets - 5 years - $176.88 mil (seems very excessive) C Nikola Vucevic - Magic - 5 years - $154.21 mil (dear god why???) PG Kyrie Irving - Celtics - 5 years - $164.17 mil C Hassan Whiteside - Lakers - 4 years - $103.53 (they must have liked him after I traded him there) SF Kevin Durant - Warriors - 5 years - $192.47 mil (oh that's why they couldn't afford Klay) C Willie Cauley-Stein - 3 years - $50.40 mil PF Kristaps Porzingis - 4 years - $109.97 mil PG D'Angelo Russell - 4 years - $109.97 mil (terrible contract)

MKnight82
Free Agent Signing Signed PF Mike Scott (77) to a 1-year, $4.50 mil deal.
