You are the only person on the planet who doesn't feel like Brock throwing another 1,000 yards and Several more TDs wouldn't have made us a much better team

You're way too focused on numbers. You need to lay off the Madden and Fantasy Football.

If Brock threw another several INTs - which is a safe assumption - it kind of cancels out the glory stats. It also means you're probably not running the ball as much, which is never a good thing.

You can't give Brock more INTs though because then you change the comment that I made about wishing our QB had put up the numbers  Bortles did.

Wouldn't call it crazy, but don't think it would be a step forward.

Given the current state of our OL, even treading water would be a step forward. Then again, the Bengals are hard up for OL play following their offseason, and still cut Winston.

Vowed to avoid college football talk this season as it's too volatile & depressing.  However, Kubiak is a Pro and strikes me as the type of coach A&M needs to target as an elixir to years of swag over substance.  Not sure if dealing with delusional Ags fanbase would be good for his health, but gotta think it's one of the only gigs he'd leave the comforting teet of Elway for since it's an hour away from home #1 and he seems to have found the ring he threw out onto Hwy 6 after they hired Fran over him in 03.

Les Miles is available. Can't think he'd scoff at a 2nd shot at SEC football, but doubtful he'd bring much more to the table vs Sumlin.

If you're looking into the NFL ranks, a guy like Matt Patricia seems to be low key enough to relate to players yet effective enough to build and maintain a defense that could compete for years. Given the role is more political in nature (rubbing elbows with Buzbee and his money pit, putting on a smile for all those boosters) I see friction if someone like Patricia was hired - but scoring winning seasons quickly alleviates this.

For the first time in a while, I DON'T see A&M poaching a UH coach. Not sure the blue bloods who pour money into the program would want a former UT QB running the show.

SMU's Chad Morris (Aggie '92) is the coach in waiting as long as he doesn't poop the bed in the AAC & his wife will leave Highland Park.  The nouveau riche Buzbee pimp stick crowd will sip too much scotch and make a bunch of noise about their big $$$, stadium, and SEC logo bringing in a Chip Kelly or Bob Stoops name, but well, Buzbee also thought Johnny Football should be #1 overall.

Kelly is the perfect fit for us. We've built a team in his mold of football. A guy like Kubiak would come in and find success because we have a solid offensive line that will return everyone next season. We also have a potential 2x 1,000 yard back who will be returning. Nick Starkel also strikes as a Kubiak type QB. Mond is definitely a Kelly QB. The guy has a heck of an arm but his accuracy was terrible in his first playing time. We've got the young talent at WR to run Kelly's spread.

Defense se will continue to be a problem and honestly it has to be a Sumlin issue. Jon Chavis has been great everywhere and he can't build a top 50 defense with all the talent the Aggies have gotten. The problems must run deeper on that side of the ball than D Cord.

Kelly is a potential long term answer where as Kubiak would be a solid 4-5 year guy that could bring some discipline to a team that lacks it like crazy.

Les miles just doesn't seem like he would fit here. QB is the problem at AM and has been. Miles has never produced a good QB.

The Aggies could go for a Lane Kiffin or Bobby Petrino. They have to money, recruiting and facility to steal a coach that's not at an annual top 10 program.

Kellt just makes a lot of sense. He's a guy who runs the same kind of system and has a more proven track record. I vote Kelly
