Probably one of the very few downsides of the selection, he's already 24. Thankfully OL can age well.

Physically, he may be in a better spot to fill in immediately than say a 21 year old rookie. That may be more relevant for the interior line where he has to face bigger and stronger players.

I agree that he's more physically developed which should be a good thing as you mention.

as well as being more mentally and emotionally mature than a 21 year old,  hopefully.

Asked to identify a teammate whose performance stood out during the offseason program, ninth-year tight end Kyle Rudolph went with a first-year player, Garrett Bradbury.

Rudolph: "I’d have to go with our rookie center. Any time you draft a guy in the first round obviously there’s expectations for them to come in and contribute to your football team and help your team win. Garrett’s come in and he’s a phenomenal young guy. He’s really, really intelligent. But he’s a great athlete and he fits our scheme perfectly. Going up against guys like Linval Joseph is a pretty good barometer of how you’ll match up in this league and he’s more than held his own.”
