He needs to prove it was him and not the 1k yard WRs we let go. And what better way to do that than get in guys faces. Challenge them to do better. Demand it. And then demand it of yourself and actually get on the same page as your receivers and DO BETTER. Its year 3 of him as a starter. I'm not waiting for year 5 or 6 for him to suddenly get it. The "team" doesn't play well vs equal competition and definitely better competition. It's not just a problem with the current skins, it's been a problem for 25 years save 99, 05 & 2012. Kirk is part of this problem but it's not all on him. The OL hasn't played well since the Packers game, they were horrible against Dallas in the run game. The Bears was kinda a gimme. The others it was kinda a downward trend. But even if you dont count them, he's had back-to-back games (Jints, Iggles) where he has regressed. I have to say as MikeT14 said that Danny Roullier tweeted a year or two ago: "Its ok to be hopeful, but it's when we start believing that we get screwed" Or something like that. Yes, it is understandable but at the same time to argue he wasn't worth the contract was a losing argument because any qb who was putting up the #s he did for 2 years in a row was going to get paid like a top 5 qb. That's just the market, it doesn't matter who the qb is, some team was going to give him the $. Like if KC was a true FA last offseason or I'd bet my life that beyond the skins, the 49ers, Broncos, Jets, Browns, Bears, Texans and maybe Bills and Jags would have at least inquired about signing him. I only listen if he has a good guest on like Moss, Smoot or some of the nation wide reporters. They shouldn't let him be solo, listing to him rant and rave in that annoying condescending tone for 4 to 5 hours drives people to drive off a cliff. When Lavar was in, he knew what he was talking about but he's one of those guys who tries to sound too smart instead of just simplifying it for everyone. I don't know who they could get, but Dukes needs a partner, a player or more grounded guy - not chris Russell they fought to much because Chris is erratic and Dukes is a jerk - anyways, he needs a plus one for sure and it should be an ex-player. I wonder if Arenas or Jamison would be interested in something like that, they'd be pretty sweet on the radio I think. Will Montgomery and Kedric Golston have always been good guests and they'd probably be good as Dukes co-hosts also. Yea cus he made the probowl and he isn't terrible but he's like Matt Shaub of this era . i say if we are losing this season badly just trade him to a team that needs an upgrade at qb.
