Solid numbers, IMO. Don't know how it's structured, but $13.5 AAV for an OLB seems pretty good. Great to get this out of the way (and really interesting to see contract extensions during the season). Pastor Dillon
Really solid for both sides. We are in a bind because we’ve got to have him, but he’s come pretty fairly priced. I would bet we can get our after year 2 with no penalty.
Pastor Dillon
Need to extend Tunsil now. Not as worried about Watson as he’s locked in for 4 years minimum currently but Tunsil needs to be signed before the market gets hirer
mse326
That's paying as basically the #10 OLB. That seems a bit on the steep side but with out cap space not too much of an issue salary wise. My issue is they see him as a #1 rusher and he's shown he clearly isn't. He can reak havoc with Watt in there, but when he is the focus of the pass protection he get's eliminated.

I actually am ok with it - it's underrated, but I'm actually impressed with Mercilius playing coverage in space. He's definitely become more aware of his surroundings and gets himself in a place to make plays when he's not rushing the passer. I don't know if people can put a dollar figure on that, but $13.5 AAV isn't something I'll freak out about.
Pastor Dillon
He was already a 7 million cap hit so this doesn’t drastically effect our cap space
mse326
Well this graph is ugly https://twitter.com/SethWalder/status/1186791223572467712/photo/1 This is why all offseason I said we needed to keep Clowney EDIT: Here is some more fun
Apollo Stallion
If the Bucs are dumb enough to spend $30 million on Winston, we need to put a full court press on for Shaq Barrett this offseason. The one year wonder concern is real, but clearly when finally given a real shot to shine, he seized it and with 19.5 sacks and 6 FF, nobody can accuse him of not being a playmaker. Dante Fowler would be another option altho he strikes me as having a similar disposition to Clowney that could rub BoB the wrong way. I would love to raid the Jags for Ngakoue or Allen, but that ain't happening. Draft-wise, I'm hoping DT/DE James Lynch sticks around for his senior year at Baylor to finish the job along with Rhule, but I promise you that dude will remind all of you of young JJ Watt if you watch his tape as the motor and quickness are uncanny as is his early JJ-esque penchant for blocking kicks and forcing turnovers. Since he's a white guy in the Big 12 (where we still don't play defense despite giving up less per play than Bama, LSU, or Wisc) he might slip to the 2nd round. I get the feeling that like JJ, he'll be a better pro than college player as he did all the dirty work for us and once freed up to move inside and out like JJ, he'll be a force. Bucs are in a tough spot. 5,000 yards and 33 TDs is amazing. But 30 Ints... that’s outrageous. I think they end up getting a guy like Marcus Mariota to compete with him. We should go for Yannick, sure he isn't any Watt but he's young and a great pass rusher. If Watt is gonna retire in a few years (which he will, wagering next off-season depending how he plays today) we need to have a young DE to replace him and Yannick is proven unlike a draft pick (which we have none of, but we have tons of cap space, even following tunsil & watson)
