Fox_NFLs_GG
The number of the picks are not set... Round 1. Jamie Newman QB While there are sexier picks on the board, Gute will go with the football player that best matches the Packers offense. Jamie Newman is exactly what Rodgers was coming out of college. Newman can run and throw, a skill set that Rodgers made a living off from. Rodgers has pins in his throwing shoulder and his time is limited. Round 2. Jordyn Brooks ILB Replacement for Martinez Round 3. Neville Gallimore DT I would like to see a big NT for over the center, but that is long gone. MacReady
I wouldn't hate it, but I wouldn't love it either. Unless Rodgers only plays two more years, I want to put as much help around him as possible. I am okay with a tank season after Rodgers retires where we can pick a top ten QB.
Fox_NFLs_GG
Help would be in round 4 and on. Smaller school prospects, Remember a lot of the Stars in the League were mid to later picks. QB's that develop last longer, QB's that are thrown in right away mostly bust. MacReady
Also, I'm sick of mock draft people trying to get the Packers to make the edgy pick. They act like we do these wild and crazy things in the draft every year when we are literally the most predictable team in the draft every single year. DB EDGE DB IDL DB DB IDL EDGE OT OT EDGE IDL IDL Our last 13 first round picks have been 5 positions. This year we're gonna do the same. We're going to draft the best IDL/DB/OT available. If we pick 30-32, I could see us doing something a little out of the norm and drafting a WR/TE/IOL/ILB, but I'm convinced we'd trade down first and into the second round.

Why did you do a mock draft with only 3 rounds and no free agency? Why are we reaching on a QB in the first round when Rodgers will be under contract for all 4 years of his rookie contract. Why are you drafting an ILB in the second round? Why are you drafting a short DL?

It is not reaching with a late rounder, he probably will be the best fit and I do expect him to rise in the draft because he has the size, arm, and mobility that is needed for this offense just like other teams are looking for. Martinez is a good player but not a the best fit for the price. Drafting a DL with a motor and can push two OL at the same time allowing the LBs to make the play. What are you talking about late rounder? You have us drafting him in the first round? Martinez is a good player and not the best fit for the price. That doesn't mean you draft one in the second round with the idea of starting him immediately. He's short, which we hate. He's 2 inches shorter than anybody in our current group. He's not a pass rusher. If you're drafting a 6'1 300lb DL. That guy better be hell on wheels getting after the QB in this scheme and Gallimore isn't. Run plugs are cheap. You can get them anywhere. We have one.

You're also not acknowledging that he's not gonna play on his rookie deal. So what's the point?
