Coach Hires:

DC- John Butler-Bills DB coach that has experience on Bill O'Brien's staff so the Patriot connection. He has done a great job turning CB White into a top CB in the game and is a tad more aggressive learning from McDerrmont.

OL- Bill Callahan- One of the best in the business.

Trades:

Darius Slay for 2nd and 4th rd pick (Eagles)- It would be tough to let a #1 CB go but he doesnt want to be here and we should move on while he has value. Adds 10.5 mil in cap space.

Jarrad Davis- 5th rd pick- The guy simply doesnt fit our D. Adds 2 mil in cap space

CUTS:

RT- Rick Wagner- Makes too much and below average starter. Crosby did just as well if not better in his place. Saves 6.1 mil in cap space

DT- Snacks retires.

Re-Sign:

RB- JD Mckissic

WR- Danny Amendola- He has been solid and a great team guy. 5-6 mil

DT- Mike Daniels- 1 yr incentive deal at ~2 mil

Cap space at ~62 mil

FA:

CB- Byron Jones- Cowboys cant afford to keep all of their FAs and we need a replacement for Slay. UCONN connection with BQ. 4 yr 16 mil a year.

RG- Brandon Scherff- BQ doesnt shy awy from going after OL in FA and with Wagner cut he goes and gets one of the best G's in football. 5 year 12 mil a year

MLB- Nick Kwiatkoski- He has played great since getting a shot in CHI. He fits the bigger profile for LB that MP covets and hits like a truck and is ok in coverage. 4 yr 3-5 mil a year

OLB- Kyle Fackrell- Our pass rush sucks and Fackrell is behind the Smiths and Gary in GB but he had 10.5 sacks just last year. This could be an underrated signing. 3 yr 4-5 mil a year.

DT- Danny Shelton- Snacks was not great this past year and this is one of our yearly NE FA signings- 2 yrs 5 mil a year.

QB- Marcus Mariota- Reclamation project that can come in as a package to run the read option that Bevel likes to run. 1 yr 3-4 mil

Draft:

We just miss out on Chase Young as WAS takes him at 2. With the #3 pick the Lions decide to trade back for more picks with a team looking for their franchise QB. MIA with a boat load of picks moves up to secure getting their guy in Justin Herbert. Lions get #5, #39, #70.

1- Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn- This was tough between JO, Andrew Thomas and Brown but MP stated at the end of the season that pressure up the middle was the biggest issue this season defensively. Getting Jones and Armani O coming along later in the season makes JO a little redundant. Brown has the ability to play Nose, 3 tech, and 5 tech.

2- Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville- Big OT in the Trent Brown mold. Very athletic for his size. He can play RT and maybe move to LT if BQ decides to move on from him 2021.

2- Shaun Wade CB, OSU- The other CB from OSU but fits the profile MP likes as well with being bigger and Wade has ability to play in the slot as well.

2- WR- Jalen Reagor- The deep threat that Bevell covets in his scheme that can really take the top off the defense.

3- Ashtyn Davis, S, California- Really fast, playmaking S. IMO better than Will Harris right now. Has ability to play slot CB as well.

3- Ben Bredenson, LG, Michigan- 4 year starter at LG and will battle Dahl for starting spot at LG day 1.

4- Cam Akers, RB, FSU- Underrated RB in the draft with ability to get to the outside and run between the tackles. He is also get in the screen game.

4- Josh Uche, 3-4OLB, Michigan- Pass rush specialist that would add to our pass rush day one.

5- Paddy Fisher, LB, Northwestern - Fits the bigger LB profile and is a very smart instinctive football player.

5 (Davis trade)- BPA

5 (Q Diggs trade)- BPA

Yeah, I'd say that the trade down and Derrick Brown pick is undoubtedly best-case scenario for this team. Free Agency feels expensive, but, then again, we may spend that much this year.

I may have missed it: we re-sign Glasgow and Decker?

Decker had his option picked up. Glasgow looks like will be moving on in FA.

off topic but i hope everyone saw that titans patriots game..such good coaching..why did we miss on Vrabel): i know its only one sample year but still

Bad part is the Vrabel was the backup plan to Matty P.
