DawgX
Not remotely a surprise. He's far and away the best FB in the game. Would have loved him on the Browns.
FinSting
Did the 49ers have a contract clause like "if you helicopter a player, $10k bonus?" Poor ol' Minkah Fitzpatrick. Wait can 'helicopter' be used as a verb?

I can't think of any other FBs today that are really worth spending on. Feels like the rest of them are pretty near interchangeable. But he really is an important part of that offense, and brings the sort of versatility that makes him worth it. CJ Ham gets no love nationally but is a great FB leading the way for Dalvin/Mattison

Too much of that comes down to a great OLine, well orchestrated offense...and just a FB doing one simple job of picking up that LBer or whoever they're assigned to. There are so many "blocking TEs" who can do that just as well, if not better...even if shuffled into that H-Back sorta role. A FB today has to offer more. Just grabbing a few yards on dump offs isn't going to cut it either. Tommy Bahamas was a "Pro Bowl Calibre" FB the year the Jaguars line didn't block like Timbits. He was...not even close to a great FB. Greg Jones was a guy who rumbled for the Jaguars for a very long time, and was awesome for the entirety of it. He was what a FB should be. He was that "do it all" guy, and tough as nails. That's the sort of standard i apply to FBs. It's not just...a guy who did kinda decent in a season for a team that ran lots.
