That is not remotely what you "simply stated".

"It's a heck of a lot easier to be the best athlete on the field in college. Not so much in the pros. Ask Cam Newton how that went for him."

Is that statement wrong ?  It simply states Cam took a beating. Don't know what you're chasing here.

That's a different sentence than what you wrote.

It makes perfect sense to me. In college Cam was bigger and faster and stronger than everyone. In the pros, not so much, and his body found that out. You're chasing ghosts and I don't know why

Yes, after you changed what it said.

And I'll be honest, even that isn't great. Diminishing his achievements to just being athletic is dumb and insulting. Cam Newton wasn't and was never just a raw athlete. He was a guy leading an NFL offense at a damn high level for a number of years.

Just so that we're clear:

Is the run-n-shoot still the offense of the future ? Is Steve Spurrier still destined to decimate NFL defenses ? Offenses aren't changing, just becoming less complex due to many factors. Give me the prototypical QB every day of the week.

You can insert any position group into your statement.

This whole ******* thing started because I said that many positions are evolving in the NFL right now.

Where did I say that ?

I edited that out but you simply didn't say

"Oh I prefer prototypical QBs"

I'm saying the prototypical QB is far more of what I was talking about to start this in 2020. What the NFL looks for now in blue Chip QBs isn't the same. If you want a ton Brady, that's cool. I don't think that's what the league as a whole wants anymore. Which is what I was talking about the entire time, the NFL. Not posters personal preference.
